I’ve been training at One Playground for almost 9 years and moved to the Newtown club about 3 years ago. I love the atmosphere at the Newtown club, the lights make it especially fun - I always feel motivated walking into the gym . I enjoy the split levels and the more private space with the leg machines, as it means I can move around the gym and always find what I need. I especially want to shout out my Coach, Amie, who has been pivotal in my recovery and health. Amie has curated my program, getting me to a point where I feel strong, capable, and confident in my body’s strength. My biggest achievement see below was completing one unassisted pull-up! Amie was able to create a safe and sustainable gym program, despite my frequent health hurdles, to achieve my goals.
I’ve been training with Jess for about 2 months now and she’s such a fantastic coach to work with!! She makes every session fun and i love how resourceful she is and willing to go above and beyond to alternate the routine that suits me.nnOn top of that, the interior here is stunning! It has a lot of natural light and multicolour lighting that adds to the character. Oh and it smells good too! The classes here are various, but my fave is pilates with Sienna either it’s Mat or Reformer. The community here has been very supportive and warm. It makes going to the gym become the highlight of my day.
I’ve been training at One Playground for a while now and I genuinely love it. The space is modern, clean, and really well organised. The equipment is new and well maintained, and even during peak hours you can still get a solid workout in.nnThere’s a great variety of machines — especially for lower body workouts which I personally love . The cardio area is also very complete. Everything feels high quality and the atmosphere is motivating without being overwhelming.nnI also want to mention that Caterine was incredibly attentive when showing me around and explaining everything. She made the whole experience feel welcoming and smooth from the start.nnOne thing I really appreciate is the overall energy of the place. People actually go there to train, so it’s a focused environment, which I prefer.nnHighly recommend it if you’re looking for a well-equipped, modern gym with a great vibe in Sydney.
I just had the most beautiful experience touring One Playground Newtown. Eloise was the team member that guided us through the onboarding process, and she was so friendly and welcoming. She also had a really strong knowledge of the facilities available, not just at Newtown, but every location, and was able to answer every question I had thoroughly. The gym is stunning, especially the reformer studio. I had absolutely no hesitations about signing up and am so excited to start training!
Love training at One Playground Newtown! Great equipment, friendly staff and such a welcoming, positive vibe.nnBeing over 45, I’m all about getting stronger, fitter and feeling good — and this gym makes it easy to stay motivated and keep showing up. The staff are genuinely lovely, the atmosphere is great, and there’s no intimidating gym-bro energy nnGreat place to train, great people and great vibes. Highly recommend!
