Personally, markets are not something I would do myself. But Wifey wanted to go. Pleasantly surprised. Something for everyone. And I got to snack on the most yummy pretzel I have had. Ample parking. Facilities were great.
Such a pity—these glorious mainstays of the Canberra market scene just aren’t what they used to be.nnI’m not sure if it’s the long arm of Covid and they never recovered, or perhaps it’s just because today it’s wintery and cold, but…there were only half the stalls they once had. There was a whole vacant area on the lower level, a few vacant stalls in the upper area, and the entrance mezzanine just had a single coffee van.nnThere are still some great indie artists and secondhand sellers, and some delicious food stalls, but I came all the way to Canberra for these markets and it wasn’t worth it.nn3 stars.
First time here with family visiting from Qld. Stall holders are friendly and courteous and love a chat. Huge variety of interesting things and itemsnfor all ages and plenty of food and coffee available. Toilets are very clean. Plenty of free parking. Markets are under cover and easy to get too.
Watched the glass blowing for ages. It was soooo memorizing. If I were a Canbera local, I would so be doing it. The art pieces are spectacular too.
This was my first time at the Kingston foreshore and it was a nice little Sunday market.nThere are two levels where the bottom level has different food stalls from Jordanian, Ethiopian, Korean and Filipino cuisine to bagels, fresh produce, BBQ rubs and cannolis.nThe top level has craft's and clothing stalls. It's a good little stop to break up your Sunday.
