Great experience! Went today, means Thursday evening and it was half full. Ordered plenty of dishes what came quite quickly until last dishes what took more time. Overall experience very good they also accommodated husband's dietary requirement about NO egg for fried rice. The only thing I would mention was, that its mentioned kitchen is open until 9.30pm, but iPads to order the food got collected today around 9.10pm. Overall definitely recommend to go, but off times.
Always a fantastic place to eat. So many choices and very accommodating. I was after a certain sushi only and they happily bought it out and were very prompt with service. Hot food and freshly cooked. All top notch and well made. Been a few times. You can bring a couple or quite a few with you if you want a large crowd. Book ahead as even on the weekday it can get busy!
We came by this area to check out furniture and seems we have not had lunch, we decided to drop by this Okami Japanese restaurant. We had buffet at other branch so wanna give it a try here.nnService & Ambience [3]. As we walked in, we were greeted by a staff at the counter. We were shown to a table. There are lots of empty tables at this hour. I counted 3 staff on the floor, and as we have decided on what to order, we couldn't see any staff. I walked to the front counter and the staff said will take order from our table. So got to walk back. Any issues taking order at the counter since I am there? The food didn't take too long to arrive. Free tap water bottle already on the table, so no need to ask.nnFood [3]. The California rolls were the first to arrive. Not presented well and not the best California rolls we had. As for our mains, they were okay. Soups were that hot.nnOverall food were okay but not the best taste for a Japanese restaurant.
Have been to a few Okami locations, but the Pakenham one is the best. Lots of seating, amazing fresh food every time, and kind staff.nThey've now introduced a tablet on each table so that you can order for yourself from the table, as much as you like. Total game changer - we had several meals come out within 5-10 minutes which was super fast for a Saturday dinner time slot.nnCan't wait to be back
I am an interstate traveller and needed to grab dinner before heading into the burbs. The service at Okami Pakenham is faultless and outstanding, staff was attentive and courteous. The service of food was constant and you weren't ever left feeling for more.nnDishes I highly recommend is the beef carpaccio, sushi, tempura. They were extremely fresh and you were definitely left salivating for the next bite. But less of me typing I will let the pictures to do justice for itself.nnWould definitely come back again the next time I'm in the area.
