As a super duper fussy eater I cannot recommend giving this Japanese restaurant a go!! There was so so many new things I tried that I normally wouldn’t and loved!! The vegetable gyozas were delicious! And the fried rice was the best I’ve had yet. The steamed veggies were done perfectly. Chicken Karaage was nice and crunchy on the outside, definitely want to make this at home! I could have eaten 20 of the grilled chicken wings the marinade was to die for ! I could go on and on but what a terrific experience!! 100/10
Dined in had the all you can eat menu Highly satisfied with the food and the service and the menu and recommend it to anyone who loves Japanese food
Bustling all you can eat Japanese in the heart of Ballarat. Been twice recently and ordered a la carte both times. Good fast service and tasty teriyaki beef, Salmon Bento, Unagi don and sashimi. Recommend booking to ensure a table
My brother treated myself and my parents to an all-you-can-eat meal here, and it was absolutely delicious! The staff were very accommodating. We ordered 1 of everything but they strategically brought out only a couple of dishes at a time, and continually cleared the table so we always had space. I was amazed, especially as the restaurant was fully booked! It was a bit pricey, although the quality of the food and service was amazing! I would definitely recommend this place for lunch or dinner
Last night my friend and I booked a table for our 21st dinner treat, thinking we'll leave wishing we hadn't eaten so much. We were wrong. We had been charged for the 2 hour all you can eat when we didn't get a chance to order or receive a lot of our food. In the 2 hour dining experience we had got our first 2 dishes within 1/2 hr, food was delicious don't get me wrong, but for our second order we had to wait over 3/4 an hour to receive only one thing. Then we had to wait over another 1/2 hour for something we didn't even order, when we let staff know, they re-ordered our previous order. More time passes and we get asked if we would like our last order, we said we still had food coming from our last. By the time the 2 hours was up, we had only got one other thing from our second order, all the tables around us got plates and plates of food, even dessert and we left still hungry. Not to even mention being seated in front of the door and being greeted with freezing outdoor air every 2 minutes and having to shift away from people trying to exit to give way, and also being so close to people that we had to shift for them too. We did let staff know when we went to pay, but was still charged for the "all you can eat". Reading other reviews I can see this has happened more than once. We left disappointed from a dinner that turned out to be a 2 hour snack.
Super delicious with reasonable price. Staffs super friendly and good. Strongly recommended.
We have dined here many times and had fabulous service as in quickness of meals and consistent service but last night it was packed way to many for a comfortable dining experience given the hot night, there was very little air flow or service we were checked on a few times but felt bad for ordering more with the way the waiter looked at us. We would have had plenty more drinks but were never asked, when we did order more only half of it came having to ask 2-3 times for what’s was previously ordered is just bad service. Please don’t over book your restaurant as it wasn’t pleasant for many of the diners we were not the only ones who felt let down. Your staff are your business if they are not friendly it will deters repeat custom I hope you can look at this as a positive
Food was great but the service was inconsistent. A waitress told me they didn't have hot tea, which is strange but then the table next to us got tea. They don't do just sashimi, so you have to order a sashimi and nigiri set. It's also RNG what piece you get. We went as 2 people so we don't always get what we want. The rolls are sometimes vegetarian as well. I can imagine they just make a big patch of things and grab whatever to go out. I've never been to an all you can eat with an element of RNG before. I was super disappointed. I wanted more salmon sashimi and nigiri but that comes with a risk of all these random things I don't want.
Absolutely brilliant restaurant. The business model is zero food wastage. It is a $38.50 per person all you can eat menu including dessert. You do pay for drinks, but they are reasonably priced e.g. $5 for a scotch and coke. The idea is you choose food from a set menu for your $38.50. IF you eat all you select, that is all you pay. If you overorder and leave food behind, you are charged restaurant prices for the wasted food. Fresh food, freshly prepared and beautifully presented. Staff - even though they were swamped with customers- were fast, efficient and very pleasant. You have roughly 2 hours to eat until the next sitting. Thoroughly recommend this restaurant. My only complaint is that they are not yet in Queensland. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options were clearly presented and were almost the same in number as meat/seafood options,....all of which were delicious. Kid-friendliness: Activity packs were offered to children upon arrival and there were "kiddie" menu options.....smaller sized meals and food that would appeal to children. Parking: Plenty of parking right outside the restaurant. Wheelchair accessibility: Street level access and wide doorway to gain entry, however, toilets were up a flight of stairs. I am unsure whether there was a lift up to the floor where the toilets were located.
Food here was ok. But table service was just terrible. One poor guy at the front bar was responsible for taking everyone’s orders seating people making drinks and taking payments all on his own. Absolutely ridiculous. And then told you had to be out within one hour. When we barely got to order anything because we were waiting for so long just to be able to make our order. They need more staff here to be able to assist a smoother process. There was a huge line of people waiting for their take away food too. I won’t be back and neither will my friends. The whole night was stressful noisy and overcrowded.
