The self print service staff is so bad; I was hunted by 3 people for downloading a large file on a demo laptop to a USB stick in the store. Amusingly, a customer came up and said “can you leave this poor man me alone, I’m considering a laptop purchase and need service & advice.”nThen there was a radio call “I need a manager; he’s still doing it”.nI hopped it before Mi5 turned up.nReally ? Is this customer service? Has the IT dept taken over completely?nAt Officeworks Alexandria last month , they actually helped so I didn’t waste my trip.
Be aware that the free parking time is limited to 2 hours only, over 2 hours will get charged $10!!!!nnPurchased over $80 in Office-works and took me 2 and half hours due to the copying issues plus was totally not aware this new 2 hours limit of free parking, was shocked by the $10 parking bill at the exit. The parking service people had no mercy as the first time awareness of the parking time limit so had to pay $10 to get out.nnLesson learned, tomorrow will go back to return all my purchase today and buy at other Office-works which offer free parking or longer free parking allowance with certain amount of purchase - 2 hours were simply not enough in certain situations plus the printing line sometimes are just long and slow as we all know.nnPlus, I had seen so many times people got stuck at the parking entrance or exit simply because the machine was not working or people did not know how it works so waste so much time for cars behind to wait in line … all I can say this badly arranged parking system will only decrease people’s willingness to visit your store more and more…
Jack was particularly helpful finding my products and explained how to use it too.nnAll the staff together were very polite and helpfulnnThe store well set out too.
Needed a 16Gb USB drive to send overseas to elderly parents. Called the store before attending to confirm they had stock. Was confirmed by staff member that they were available.nI arrived at the store only to find that the selves were empty of the 16Gb USB drives. A staff member managed to find the only one available somewhere in the store.nWent to pay for my items and was given some lame excuse that they could not print a receipt for my purchase and demand that I give them my email address.nUnder no circumstances will I hand over my email address in store.nAs items were needed urgently, I had to leave without a receipt for the purchase of goods.nTypical poor form from Officeworks.
Big shout-out to the staff here for being very helpful. Was looking for specific items and when it wasn’t available, offered some alternatives instead which I ended up buying. The location of the store is a pro and a con; on a great location and next to a University campus, but there is no nearby parking around. Store is of medium size compared to others that I’ve seen.
