The rice was better than the main which was a disappointment. The food was worse than food court Chinese. I was looking forward to this place but sadly due to the food not even being better than my own cooking, at least, I probably won't visit again. I wish I could say something good about this place but there wasn't many people there for a reason.
A quick take away after a big day out. The girl who served me was lovely and very helpful. I went with the duck which was very tasty and a good portion size. You can eat in or take away. Dietaries are well catered for. Refreshments are available - just the usual. Wheelchair friendly. Kid friendly. Plenty of parking out the front.
We have this restaurant a second chance after a first negative food experience and it was no better the second time around. Gluggy noodles and corn flour thickened sauce through the green curry. Poor texture and mediocre flavours. I suggest looking elsewhere for Chinese in OG…

I've been holidaying in Ocean Grove since the 1970's. Tonight is the first time I've ordered meals from Ocean Delight Chinese Restaurant. In the past we always bought our takeaway Chinese from the competitor's in the centre of town. Wow! The food is amazing. I ordered chicken & vegies with satay sauce for myself and my husband had battered chicken strips with sweet & sour sauce. We shared a large fried rice. The vegetables in my meal were cooked to perfection and the chicken was actual breast pieces. The satay sauce was just right. Altogether, the flavours and textures were amazing. My husband's meal consisted of a generous amount of juicy chicken breast pieces in golden fried batter and a flavoursome thick sauce. The fried rice was perfectly cooked and not at all dry. I noticed when I went to pick up our order that this restaurant has a large dine-in area which was beautifully presented. I thought at the time that it would be the perfect venue for a private function if the occasion ever arises. I will certainly be ordering from this restaurant again on our next visit to OG and wemight just dine innext time. Thank you to the friendly young female who took my order. You told me it was your first shift. You did a great job.
The worst food I’ve ever had…. The satay. Chicken was salty and tasted nothing like a satay… the curry puffs were so small they were bite size and over cooked. The rest of the order was just as bad would never order from this restaurant again….
Haven't been here for many years due to bad experience and decided to give another go. Well it looks like won't be back again and this time for good. Satay Beef was fatty and slimy. Satay sauce was all cornflour with no flavour. Same as the Black bean. Beef fat and chewy and bother meals had way too much onion in them. Could not finish either meal.
The rice was the best rice I've ever had in my entire life. Very tender and good!!!! The rice looked like this this is from Google though the pic it was very yummy
Best Chinese meals I’ve ever had. Lemon chicken and both steam and special fried rices are to die for. The girls at reception are very helpful and enthusiastic. And I love getting my free bag of prawn crackers. Highly recommended.
Fresh. Friendly customer service. Fast. Took < 8 mins to cook 3 dishes. Ordered black pepper steak, veg fried rice, veg noodles. Flavour was outstanding! Absolute shame I am not a local, I would come back and try every dish on the menu.
