~This hotel threaten to get me fired if I didn't remove this review, now I no longer work for Flight Centre I am reposting~. This is the second time checking into this hotel in a week for work. you can request a copy of the t&c at the front desk.nnI asked for a copy but all that could be done is a staff member cherry picking things he reads off his phone.nnCheck into 316 and looking for the second bedroom I open a door. Turns out to be the interconnecting door to the room on the left. And I walk in on a lady in bed watching tv. I close the door and try opening it again to see if it’s locked but it opens 3 more times. Each time I close the door with more pressure until it doesn’t open with a standard amount of force.nnI report this to the front desk. Nothing is done. Housekeeping didn’t lock it. They saynnChecking in tonight and I reframe from asking about the t&c at check in and all is fine until 8pm I go to log onto the wifi as an in house guest. My name is invalid. I try calling reception from the room. But it rings then goes dead. I call 4 more times. And I try once at housekeeping no answer any where.nnI reluctantly go down stairs. And ask why I can’t get into the wifi.nnI get told it needed to be reset and it’s working now. You can use the visitor wifi and you don’t get charged for downloads.nnThat peaked my interest how much and at what stage. I log in and the page that pops up says wifi charges may apply. But no info on when or how much.nnI call reception and they answer. I get told about the premium package for wifi and no joke I need to ask the lady SIX times how much that costs. She keeps skirting the question which frustrated me. Then she tells me she needs to check.nnShe comes back again, said no charges for wifi. I said you just told me at the start of this call there are 2 wifi packages for purchase.nnShe then said there are no packages. And I point out her coworker the guy mentioned not 5 min ago at the front desk there are charges on the in house guest wifi.nnShe asks to put me on hold and I tell here I’ll reluctantly come back down to show here on the wifi log in page it says chargesnnI mentioned that if there are no charges can I get that in writing as I have been told several different variations. And she can’t do that.nnI do get it in writing from the guy at the front desk hand written on the back of another customers room charges statement.nnI asked about the T+C printed out as the info about the wifi was not leaving me confidence about what is going on here.nnI was told there is a system issue and can’t print it out. This was MORE than 1hr after I was getting the wifi connected.nnI was told by the guy that he has “never been asked for the T+C before in writing” yet it was 4 days ago I asked the exact same employee for them, in writing.nnI have a VERY hard time trusting anything the employees say here is correct. They lie often and at will.nnI did mention towards the end of the conversation if they can’t give me the T&C I need to stay at another hotel/motel that can give me the t&c. They said our systems may be having issues getting you that but if you leave it’s your cost to change hotels.nnI was given the managers card who he was just on the phone to. I asked should I ring tonight or tomorrow morning. I was told to ring tonight.nnI called when I got back to the room. 2 calls ignored no voice mail optionand I sent one text.nnit’s been issue after issue with no apology for any of it.nnThe miss information about the wifi. No apology. The not been able to connect as an in house guest.” It’s a system issue I’ll reset it. It’s working now “ the not been able to print the t&c as it says in the sign in document I agree to “system issue what do you want me to do about it” he told me before giving the managers card.
We chose Oaks because of its proximity to Queens Park. We found it to meet our needs. We didnt have too much interaction with staff but they were pleasant.nnWe attempted multiple times to make an room service lunch order, but noone answered so we ate at the event instead. Then we returned only to learn it had closed and no late night snacks/dessert options available.
Had an absolutely amazing stay at oaks Toowoomba . Shout out to Gypsy from room service. Really professional but gave a personalised service and was so open to answering questions. 5 star . Do not lose her.nOverall experience. Amazing will stay here again anytime well done
Great central spot, easy walk to busy bars and pubs, nice tidy and clean rooms, pillows need an update, firm bed but otherwise great!
Friendly staff. Clean, spacious and well appointed rooms. Great bed and good tv.
