Sunday lunch at Mr Grubb was plentiful, varied and very tasty. The wait staff were attentive delivering excellent service throughout lunch. Accommodation at the estate was a pleasant surprise. Our room was the water room one of three rooms. It was immaculate, roomy with lovely decor. There was complimentary Nespresso coffee, bottled water and juices, and streaming channels. The entire estate is well kept. It was a pleasure spending time there. Will definitely visit again.
We had a lovely wine tasting with our international friends .. noticed Oakdene had their own brand of olive oil. We’d love to have tasted some but unfortunately that wasn’t available. It would be such a great idea to be able to select a few to try with some bread whilst we sat sipping our purchased wine .
I’m sorry to give one star, but it was an abysmal tasting experience. We paid $10 for five sips of 5 sub-par wines, with a laminated piece of plastic as a tasting guide. Disappointing especially having coming here for years!… Covid is not an excuse, as the next winery we went to just down the road went above and beyond. And the wine prices are cheaper if you buy from Dan Murphys which we didn’t!
As a part of my Sperm Donation Australia tour of Victoria, I ventured out to see some wineries in this region. The 5th stop of the day had the pleasure of coming here, Brett was a great host and took me through the wine selection. I ended up walking away with a bottle of Pinot NoirHotel highlightsGreat view

A lovely winery and enjoy the wine. Was just shocked when the table next door asked to take their unfinished pizzas home and were charged by the box to do so. Greedy business decision for short term greed I think.

Not a great tasting at all - feels very much like an after thought, staff are friend but busy with other things. Not redeemable with purchase which is never acceptable for a cellar door, but I wasn’t fussed with any of the wines to buy. Not sure if they had been open for a while, but both pinot noirs were absolutely awful.
Great experience with wine tasting. So nice to sit in very relaxed way to taste delightful wines. Brett was very attentive and welcoming which helped make this a great experience.
The "upside down house" is a great winery to stop in for wine tasting. Unique experience. Great wines. Brilliant service from the owners. Wine tasting was well presented and superb wines. Well worth stopping in.
