When it comes to private lenders Oak Capital are great to deal with, they have an efficient process and their team is responsive, transparent and are solution focused. Andrea is my point of contact as a broker and has been fantastic to deal with, she is quick to respond and is always trying to find a way to complete the transaction for the client. I had a bridging deal with them and they were able to turn it around in a matter of days at a reasonable cost to the client. The client was happy with the outcome and when needed will use Oak Capital again.
BEWARE!!! These guys are absolute crooks! I needed a bridging loan due to banks taking a lot longer to process loans due to Covid. My broker approached Oak Capital for a short term loan 3-6months. It wasn't until my lawyer pointed out that they were going to charge approx. $47,000 in fees for a three month loan not including interest, i was shocked so terminated my application with them. They then proceeded with bullying tactics with sending demands from solicitors for approx. $15k for not proceeding. Both our broker and lawyers have advised that this is not typical of the finance industry and are also absolutely shocked with their tactics. If anyone is considering using this company and want emails to support these claims, feel free to contact myself.

I recently had a very successful experience with Andrea White-Farnan and the wider Oak team, in which they assisted my client in meeting a shortfall in funds required for a purchase of a development site. This was a complex transaction as multiple parties were involved, in addition to the requirement for a structured and sequential settlement process back-to-back and then simultaneous. To add further pressure, we were at the end of the rescission period and had settlement failed, millions in deposit funds would have been lost. Well done to Andrea and the wider Oak team, and I recommend them to anyone looking for a quick solution to complex SME transactions!
