Down to 2 stars from 5. Used to be lot better. New system and new guys had put me in uncomfortable position when I took my car for Logbook servicing. The guy who sits at reception lacks in customer service skill and dictates rather consult. Talks more and tends to listen less. Used be a regular and loyal customer but not any more. Complimentary car wash was below the standard. What has happened to this place??

So decided to go with NRMA for a service this time, and had the car have its 120k km service done there last week. Aircon had always worked perfect no dramas ever, including right up until the point I parked up for servicing. That evening as soon as we drove out, the aircon no longer worked and only had hot air blowing. Seemed strange however we decided to give it a couple days incase it was something they had changed which needed time. Over the next couple of days it became clear there was something wrong. I rang them and spoke to a young guy who straight away denied any responsibility and was very arrogant saying there was no way they could have done anything to aircon saying "it must just be cooincindence" it was a pretty laughable response which I argued with him. He eventually offered to bring it in and they would look at it. So today it was taken in and I spoke to the Manager who took the same approach saying no way they could have done anything however they would have a look. Waited there for a couple of hours, manager explained that there was an electrics issue which they couldn't get to the bottom of but they were satisfied that they were definetely not at fault. Was given the option of having it sent to their electrician at an additional cost, I denied and walked out. As I was driving out, one of the workers (good guy) came running out and stopped me to check one last thing.. he tightened something under glovebox on the passengers side taking two seconds.. and just like that the issue was fixed. He tells me that he spoke to one of the guys that serviced the car and they said they had worked on the Cabin Filter which he then knew they might not have put something back in place or tightened properly.. So luckily if not for him finding this out we would have wasted more time and money trying to fix the issue which we knew from the beginning had come from servicing here in Padstow. My gripe is not with the workers, more with the management and customer service.. seems they are too stuck in the mindset of not accepting fault and so rigid in their thought process when it comes to looking at what they have done to the car and what the problem is, to them it was a simple case of "we don't go near aircon" so they could not be at fault, turns out mistakes do happen and these things can happen it is just a matter of how they deal with it.

Helpful staff, efficient service. Small delay in getting a part, but were pretty up front about it. Truth IS worth more than pride.

Well worth the effort to get your car service at MotorServe at Padstow.  Better than any Mazda Service Centre. Great work guys.
