First time at a hotel with 2 little ones. The twin bed room was perfect with the added cot. Everything was still spacious enough. Tub in the bathroom was great for babes & we could even fit our double pram inside. We had a lovely note left by the lady who cleaned our room. Just everyone couldn’t be more helpful. Breakfast was YUM & plentiful and perfect for us to start the day sight seeing. The bridge walk over to darling harbour was easy and the kids had the best time because we weren’t in the car for ages driving. Such a great spot to have as a base and we walked everywhere. Just a fab experience overall.
When we arrived, we were greeted by an old friend, Eddie. He made us feel welcomed. The room was nice, with a view of Darling Harbour. However, the bed was soft and the hot shower took a long time to get heated. Also the amenities shampoo was at the end of the bath tub, needing to walk up and down the tub several times to shower. That’s an OHS issue, no?nAlso, we had an medical emergency back home and we were asking, if needed, we can check out early. Manager told us that we booked a cheaper rate with a 3rd party, they cannot refund the unused days. Thankfully, the issue was resolved back home so we were able to stay as planned. Our next hotel reimbursed us when we told them of our need to be back home soonest. No compassion from this lot. But we enjoyed the festivities in the end.
I had an enjoyable stay at Novotel. The room was a bit small, but I really liked the bathroom—it was very clean, modern, and spacious. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the Deep Nature Spa bath set; my hair and skin felt silky smooth after using it, even better than most expensive products I’ve tried.nnI wanted to purchase the products from the shop on LG1, but unfortunately, only the conditioner was left. I asked the concierge for help, and I want to give a shout-out to Anna for her excellent service. She went above and beyond, spending time and effort to help me find the products through housekeeping. Her service and attitude were amazing!nnI would recommend the hotel stock more bath products for sale in-store or online, as it’s a great opportunity for more people to discover how fantastic they are. Overall, it was a great experience!
Efficient check in with new staff member. Room was comfortable, if a little aged in the bathroom. Would have been nice to have a couple of pillow options. Good black out blind - I actually like the manual winder, makes it less likely to go wrong!nThe gym only opened at 6am, which is much too late in my opinion. I like to be at the gym at 5am to be able to get on with my day. 24h would be ideal. It did not seem to be too close to many of the rooms, so should be possible to make 24h.nIt will be a decent location once the work gets finished at Darling Harbour.nThe room was missing a plug for the sink, and the ironing board had a bent leg. There was no milk in the fridge, not even long life. It would have been good to have decaf coffee even instant, and peppermint tea in the room, in addition to the usual black tea and coffee.nBreakfast was good, not great.
We really enjoyed this hotel. Staff were delightful, room was modern and clear, with nice views of Darling Harbor. Ability to stream to TV was a nice touch. I’d stay here again if we return to the area.
