Great service from Juliette at reception, as well as restaurant and housekeeping staff. The hotel was booked out for 2 nights because of Cold Play concerts but that didn't affect the quality service. Had a problem with room fridge and that was quickly attended to. The Deep Nature bathroom products were amazing.nnHotel was in a great location. So nice being able to arrive by ferry which was a 10 min walk away from the hotel. Train from airport to Circular Quay then ferry to Pyrmont Bay Wharf. Enjoyed the special Saturday fireworks from our room facing Darling Harbour and swimming in the hotel pool. Should have gone to Happy Hour but wasn't around at the time. Will stay there again.
Perfectly situated on Darling Harbour, with easy access via the light rail station right at the doorstep.nThe rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained.nThe staff, from reception to the F&B team, were exceptional. Their friendliness and helpfulness made my stay truly enjoyable.nThe restaurant offered delicious meals, and the service was prompt and attentive.nThe Novotel Darling Harbour is a fantastic choice for anyone looking for a convenient and comfortable stay in Sydney. Its prime location, combined with excellent service and amenities, makes it a highly recommended option.
Novotel – Where Compassion Magically Appears When You Wave Money Around!nnI recently had the wonderful experience of staying at Novotel. I arrived a bit early on check-in day, just around 12 PM, after a short 12-hour flight. Oh, and did I mention? My 4-year-old daughter had a high-grade fever. I figured any decent hotel would show an ounce of compassion for a sick child. Silly me!nnI asked the reception for an early check-in, hoping for some basic humanity. But no, I was told that absolutely no rooms were available and I’d have to wait until 3 PM. When I explained my daughter's condition and said I was even willing to pay extra if needed, guess what? Like magic, the room I had originally booked – which just moments earlier was “unavailable” – suddenly appeared on their system. All it took was shoving 75 AUD in their face for it to materialize. How convenient!nnEven after I mentioned my daughter's fever, the staff stuck to their guns until I dangled some money in front of them. It was truly heartwarming to see how fast a room became available once cash was involved. Clearly, Novotel cares deeply... about money, that is. Basic human decency, compassion, and empathy? Nope, not in their vocabulary unless there’s a payment attached.nnTo the Novotel team: Please, show some respect for your guests and try to be a little more compassionate. When a child is suffering from a high-grade fever, the last thing parents should have to deal with is your money-first attitude. A small gesture of kindness would’ve earned you my loyalty, but instead, you’ve just shown me that all you care about is squeezing extra dollars out of vulnerable situations.nnNext time, how about some humanity? It's free.
We spent Saturday night at the Novotel, which has a fantastic location for enjoying the nightlife at Darling Harbour, including Saturday night fireworks. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the hotel is family-friendly as well, with a movie night planned for our stay. The restaurant offers a stunning view of the harbour, and it’s just a short walk to nearby dining options. We really enjoyed our stay overall. The only drawbacks were that the room felt a bit dated and the shower pressure could be improved. Otherwise, I highly recommend it.
Huge thanks to the reception for upgrading my room with an amazing view! The L train is right next door, so it's super easy to get around. The breakfast spread is awesome, with lots of options, including barista coffee. Tons of pastries too. The staff is great, everyone from the front desk to housekeeping really makes sure you’re taken care of and happy with everything.
