Unparalleled forest walk, right up there with Cradle Mountain. Magnificent! Beat kept secret of Launceston and not a soul in sight. Forest bathing at its best.
Arrived at 6am in the morning so we basically had the whole place to ourselves. It's quiet and really calming, a very nice walk and Brady's tree was stunning! Lots of spider webs inside though haha it might have been raining the day before so the path was a bit muddy. Great experience and there are plenty of signs about different ferns along the way.
Wonderful place to visit, not for wheel chairs tho sadly. As it has a steep decline into the forest and then bridges and board walks then a steep up hill slope at the end of the circuit with stairs. Any age can do it with enough brakes or a fit person could attempt it very easily, i'm not as fit as my girlfriend who was always in front and didn't seem so puffed by the end but i was and sweating on a hot day so ensure to bring water on your journey! Sssh definitely wasn't drinking a refreshing beverage at the bottom
We enjoyed a wonderful walk through the rain forest with the family. It was very muddy but it has rained a lot lately, so it was expected. The foliage was beautiful.
Great 1hour walk around in a gully! For people who have not good balance it be good to take walking sticks to give u aid. It descends down a gully and ascends back up. Some of the track is pathed and other parts are bush walking tracks. Well maintained and enjoyable. Even saw pendamelons and I know I spelt it wrong but saw a few on the walk was worth going to
A delightful fern gully. A bit over 1 hour to do the circuit walk. If going clockwise the track descends more gradually to the board walk and creek crossings then a short steep climb up steps to return to the carpark.
Took my 3yo here today for our adventure! So glad we wore gumboots and the further down we went, the more muddy and slippery it was. Beautiful scenery all the way through and we were even lucky enough to see some wallabies. Not suitable at all for prams or strollers, and I was also be very hesitant to take a young one in a baby front or back carrier on this walk. Definitely wear waterproof shoes or gumboots and take a change of clothes just in case
Beatiful walk down into the valley. Ancient fern trees, a lovely little creek and some cool history of a bushrangers hide out in an old hollow tree. It's a little steep in parts but we passed plenty of older folks doing it comfortably. Definitely worth the walk.
Beautiful 45-50 minute return walk. The walk down is really lovely beautiful scenery. The walk back up is a little steep but would be good for all ages
One of a few sites that haven't been commercialised in TAS. We met some cute wallabies who enjoyed watching annoying animals with artificial skins roaming around their home. Photos would not be enough to show how amazing this place is ...
