Had an amazing experience. The only downfall was the chairs, which were very uncomfortable to sit on,was sitting shoulder to shoulder. It was a hot day as well, and the strange next to me didn't have much room and kept brushing his sweaty leg on me. I think if their was a little more room between people and comfortable chairs, it'd be a top-tier experience.
Great concert. Drinks were a good price. As normal for an older venue, only 4 women toilet
The hall, quite ancient in its construction, was equipped with seats that lacked comfort. The sound quality left something to be desired, indicating room for improvement. Additionally, the compact folding chairs were conjoined, offering limited space for movement.the presence of my favorite singer was the sole redeeming factor that enhanced my experience.
The old world charm and elegance of Victorian era Norwood town hall's concert hall brings one back to a genteel chivalric era.nnThe woodwork and artistry of the building and interiors is a sight to behold.nnThere is nothing I do not love. 5 stars!
Extreme lack of signage made this a woeful experience. There were a few elderly people that were unsure what floor their seats were on, unsure where the lift or toilets were. There was one inadequate poster in the foyer, which was not helpful. The lift could do with labels on the control panels indicating what's on each level.nMy take on thingsnLevel G - Main entrance. Lift under the staircase.nLevel 1- Foyer area. Up stairs to the 'stalls'nWomen's toilets adjacent lift. Men's toilets, disabled toilets and baby change area are under the foyer stairs in the north- west corner.nLevel 2 - Main concert seating 'stalls'. A bar which only takes card, no cash.nLevel 3 - Gallery and Dress Circle.
