This has got to be the worst Harris farm!! They consistently overcharge you at the cashier probably 9 out 10 times! You have to double check each item on your receipt before leaving and u will be shocked at the prices you have been charged "by mistake"!! On top of it, this branch seems to have many fewer items on special than other Harris farm shops! Quite quite disappointing!!
This place is Harris Farm. This place is also not a patch on Norton st Grocer. The produce is fair at best but what is glaringly obvious is the lack of leadership from whom ever is the manager or In charge. Almost every time I visit this store, there is too few cashiers and they are pretty slow as well. This is not an issue if you have more than 2 or 3 registers open. Good example is today Sunday the 15th of April at about 3.50 is probably the last visit I will make. Only 3 registers and each had at least 8 people with varying trolley loads and no manager to be seen. This never happened when it was Norton grocer. They used to get busy but always made sure that all the registers were open. They always had staff restocking as well. I hope someone from Harris farm reads this and acts on it.
We go to Norton Street grocery regularly for quality of produce and experience. We think it has gone downhill recently. The deli display is now overcrowded. Before it was more selective. The fruit and vegetables quality was lower - we found better at Coles upstairs and we had the feeling that the displays were strategically designed to make you "do the tour" of counters. We wonder whether the aim is more on quantity than quality. Disappointing.
"Harris Farm Markets' co-CEO Tristan Harris confirmed Norton Street's iconic Leichhardt store won't be touched for the time being. "We're leaving Leichhardt just as it is. They have a great connection with their customers, and we want to learn more about the business," he says." They've re-arranged everything, checkout staff are slower than before, some items are no longer available; all this despite Harris Farm saying they wouldn't be changing anything.
I waited 10+ minutes in line at around 10.30am on a Saturday here. Only two cashiers at such a busy time!! There are some good deals on veggies here but I won't wait that long. I'll go elsewhere.
I love you, but you get one star til you get rid of Pirovic eggs. Bad brand. Dodgy labelling, not really organic let alone free range. Gross. Having the Bum Nuts brand is awesome though - 5 stars if Pirovic didn't own your shelves.
Seriously awesome range, and the 'Imperfect Picks' are amazingly priced alternatives that I thoroughly recommend everyone should check out. Staff are all really friendly, and the store is laid out well. I am so glad I have this place near where I live!
Well priced for fresh produce. The staff are friendly and remember who I am which I enjoy! Their specialty produce and italian products are logically displayed and the deli meats are to-die-for.
I love this place. Its exactly the type of store I would love to own myself. So many delicious things! The place to go if you need anything gourmet or unusual for a recipe. Better than Thomas Dux or Fratelli fresh.
Small but perfectly formed local grocer. Recently taken under the wing of the Harris Farm chain, the quality beats the socks off Woolies and Coles.
