A beautiful small and cozy bookstore located in Northbridge, great range of sci fi books ranging from Vonnegut to Asimov and Herbert. There is a good selection of quirky and alternative books available. There is a selection of greeting cards, bags, socks, key rings, gift items, pouches, statues, fridge magnets, pins, mugs, tarot cards, and children's toys.
Best book shop in Northbridge. I am never disappointed with the book’s range and quality. Can always find something interesting to read on their comfy seats. Book store is the soul of the city. Despite the fact of cheaper deals online, the “real” bookshop can always bring the fantastic encounter reading experience directly to you without waiting.
What makes a good bookshop? Is could be the selection of books, and how you can meander around and find something unexpected, or maybe something old that you love and want to pick up again. It's definitely gotta have that cosy feeling to it, wood on paper, good eclectic music, the classic combination. I think Planet Books tick all these boxes, but I personally feel that there are some fundamentals missing. I don't ever feel welcome stepping foot inside as there is no greeting or appreciation for the customer. Bookshops are often a place to hang out, a space for the community. But in the midst of all this gloss, the heart's lacking.
Such a cozy place with good vibe. Hayden is very helpful when you try to find a book what you are looking for. Great to encouter Geelong man in Perth and reunite with my old memories in this book store :
A friendly book store located right by the Chi cho gelato place. A variety of different books were there and also some gift/misc. items were there too.
such a cozy bookstore! i really enjoy wondering around looking for new books to spend all my money on! unfortunately recently asking if they had a specific item available after seeing it in the mount Lawley store. the person behind the counter looked at me and stared at the computer for like 5 minutes without saying a word to me. then they searched around the store and said they do not have it in stock. I understand people may have bad days, but it just brought me down :. hope it was just a one off thing.
Was in this lovely store today16/3.Great range, couldn’t resist spending more that intended. But, the customer service was abysmal. No greeting or pleasantries. No assistance at all. When I pointed out that I had been overcharged a small amount, she made me feel she was doing be a favour by giving me a refund. No apology for error, felt I was being petty for asking for refund. It’s a shame, cos there were items that I had intended to come back for. But not while she is there.
had a great chat to the cashier who was very passionate about books. amazing selection and variety of books in stock - the biggest junji ito collection i've ever seen in person!
Lovely space, a peaceful oasis in Northbridge. Has a selection of gifts also. Lots of books I hadn't seen before as well. The staff member who served me the evening of the 15th of august was lovely.
