WHAT AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE OF 90 MILE BEACH!!! I could not imagine doing a tour bus visit of 90 Mile Beach after having the experience of driving my family ourselves, at our own pace and pleasure in Northland Rentals 4x4 SUV. Thank goodness my wife talked me out of driving the in-laws car down it lol. Northland Rentals was the ONLY place I could find that would allow you to go on 90 Mile Beach and I can't even begin to tell you how great the people there were!!! Thanks Kayla and Tom! Disclaimer: I have no affiliation at all with Northland Rentals. I only aim to see great small businesses do well as they deserve.
Jayna and team were great to deal with. Glad I took the Camry as it was really comfy for the trip to Auckland with my family. Would definately return again
We were met at Kerikeri airport by a very friendly staff member who, apart from taking us to the car, also recommended an amazing local restaurant. Our flight was delayed by several hours and this was no trouble for Northland Rentals. The car itself Toyota Yaris was spotless and in excellent condition.
I was surprised to receive an email from Northland Rentals Ltd to tell me that they are going to charge me the insurance excess on damage to the van I rented on Saturday. They say that there was damage to the rear bumper. It was raining heavily on Saturday at time of pick up the service person could wait to close the door behind me quick enough and the usual walk around the van. When I stopped off at the BP to load ice into the back. I did notice a ding in the back of the door, taking a closer look at noticed a bit of rust. It appears that someone had reversed into something with enough force to push the bumper in and put the dent in the rear door. The damage to the bumper and ding line up perfectly. As you can see from the picture. As there was rust I thought nothing of it. Then the surprise came, I was accused of the damage, that ding didn't happen on my watch if it did, how did it rust so quick but Northland rentals insists that these dings and dents are two separate accidents, which just a lie. The proof is in the photo. I can afford the excess, what I cant afford is being treat dishonestly. Shame on Northland Rentals for operating like cheats. We deserve better from local business. Hired 7 seater for the day. Initially young lady dealing with us, super friendly helpful chatty.Then her male manager butted in, making comments to staff member.but ignoring us. Found him awkward sullen unfriendly. Had a splendid day returned vehicle young lady still smiling and friendly. Thank you.
Well recommended good prices, very well maintained cars, great selection and I'm just so stoked you can get a 4x4 for the beach for half the day @ a great price... The best! And that guy Hamish so polite awesome to deal with, makes the hiring process smooth :-
