I was referred to Northern frontiers by my workplace.. I have found after speaking with my counsellor so many different ways and tools to be able to use not only at work but also in my personal life..I have tried many counsellors and ways to be able to understand things and the great staff and advice was like a breath of fresh air..thankyou so much to all staff you have really changed my life..
Initially, the phone consult/intake seemed productive and supportive and both my husband and I were feeling positive about our appointment. We were welcomed warm by the man at the reception desk then lead into the consult room. Both my husband and I shared our feelings and concerns about our personal situation then 30mins in, I must have had a look on my face or something? When I’m nervous I smile or smirk I think? Melinda’s neck started going red then it creeped up to her face and she blurted out that people “like me” make her angry She proceeded to tell me that she knows “my type” and that I’m a bad example to my children, I’m a victim and then looked apologised to my husband!!!! Not me, and said Sorry but I can’t work with her attitude! So unprofessional, I assumed counselling was to be impartial and about the clients not the councillor, I don’t think our first counselling session could have gone any worse
I was referred through our company's EAP service. I had a phone appointment with Melinda within 24 hours. She was fantastic and so incredibly supportive. Melinda than referred me to Alex as I needed advice in a specific area. Alex was just as wonderful. He gave me so much valuable business advice and went above and beyond and also had me laughing with his wonderful sense of humor. I highly recommend both Melinda and Alex.
Very helpful in a period of life when I needed it. Alex was in constant contact and Melinda always available for me.
A friend and I recently had occasion to use Alex and his service and cannot recommend Northern Frontiers Mediation more highly. From the time I first made contact with the office, Alex could not have been more helpful. Information was provided quickly and when it was necessary to change appointments at short notice, this was also easily sorted and with understanding. Not that I want to have to use this type of service again but if I do need to, I would definitely go back to Alex.
Alex was lovely. As for Melinda. There is no impartiality. She picks a side and the other person becomes the target. She is judgemental and cant tell the truth from lies. She also uses personal opinions and arrogance in her discussions. And has zero empathy for anyones situation. Its just a job to her. Absolute waste of time going to a counsellor and leaving feeling worse than when your walked in. Wouldn't recommend to anyone.
DEPLORABLE conduct is the best way to describe my experience with Northern Frontiers Mediation. I was uncomfortable with the process and engaged my lawyer to be present with me which is completely allowed, the mediator Melinda Bailey threw what I can only describe as a tantrum, told us the other party terminated the session and ended the call, then later stated in an email she terminated the session showing bias to the other party by not allowing either of us to participate and issued a false and misleading S60I certificate. I have requested a refund less the amount of admin fees as the termination of the session was by no fault of mine own or the other parties doing, only to be met with hostility. I highly DO NOT recommend this company for any such engagement. 10.03.2020
Disappointing! By the third interaction Melinda was still not sure of my wifes name. Seems to follow a generic text book approach not necessarily based on the individuals circumstance or informatiom provided.
I was really anxious about mediating with my ex but after speaking with the Melinda I was able to calm down and focus on my children. The info provided was a great help.
