These guys are exceptional, I was on holiday at the time and dropped my phone. They took the effort to contact some of my friends, from there I was able to collect my phone. Why is Melbourne always a crazy time. Good on you folks!
Was told that people are not allowed to leave notes on peoples cars asking them politely if they could move their car since it was out the front for almost a month. Then rang the council and council said yes you are allowed. Rang the northcote police station back spoke to someone different and told me yes I can. These people know nothing they tell you want they wanna tell you and then it’s up to you to figure it out. If they’re the law best they start acting like it and have the right knowledge of the law. Some of these recruits might need a tune up.
Called the station to advised that people from a close-by party are climbing building structures that can be seen from my house and called as a safety concern. Somehow the police officer Kate? made me feel like I was the criminal..
I called them after my email account was hacked. The uniform police answered the call extremely rude. They told me not to go there for a polite report but go to Acsc to report the incident there. Although it might not be wrong, they didn't have to be this impatient and rude. Collingwood police station handled it much better and provided quite a few options.
I was unfortunate enough to be caught up in a road rage incident where someone pulled a hammer out of their car and threaten to smash my face in. It was broad daylight, there were probably 10 witnesses, and the whole thing was caught on surveillance footage by a nearby building the owner confirmed this. I called the police immediately after the incident and have called back and emailed multiple times since. They have made no effort to follow up, never took a formal statement and have not retrieved the security footage - despite me clearly telling them it existed and who to talk to collect it.
I have called the police from this station twice to attend serious issues a month apart, and both times I waited more than an hour for them to just not show up. I even have an intervention order and the officer's response when I told them that the person had made death threats towards my partner was "there's not much we can do sorry, good luck". This is beyond abysmal. Looks like I'm going to have to pre-book my police call outs if the person breaks the intervention order I have against him.
Fantastic service! was just helping a friend to locate an uncontactable person last night. The police officers performed a welfare check and replied me immediately.
I called the station to report a number plate of a car that was swerving at oncoming traffic, shouting at people, and using their hand to make a hand gun and point at young kids. I gave them all details including where they live as i followed them. The lady on the phone seemed extremely annoyed that i called them. And when asked if this can be reported incase their is retaliation against me the response was literally. "Um...yeaaa" The officers may do a good job but the call center is below a 1 star. Thinking of posting the no. Plate to the public so they can do a better job.
Thank you to the two lovely cops that drove all the way across town to return my phone that i stupidly left in a public loo while walking my dog. Silly me. So very appreciative of the Northcote police. thanks again.
From my experience, a bunch of nonchalant chimps. Poor listeners, overly defensive, immature, incompetent. Even when discussing imminent danger of a minor, all the lady on the phone wants to do is bother me about my "attitude" and wouldn't help me after I referred to one officer as a bozo. Very disappointing that the police around here care more about their pathetic egos than the well being of abused children.
