Story

The most essential thing Northcote Indoor Sports wants is to provide its patrons with the ability to enjoy all the action and fun while playing one of the many sports and activities we make available. To do this we offer a safe, clean and well maintained facility that can be enjoyed by families, friends, work mates and children of all ages. To keep up with the times, the venue has gone through recent renovations to its bar, kiosk and toilets plus purchased a new state of the art scoreboard and competition management system. Our emphasis is on customer service and making sure you get treated like a member and not a number.

We provide graded competitions in Indoor Cricket, Indoor Soccer, Indoor Netball and Indoor Beach Volleyball, from advanced to social players, young and old. We also cater for children's birthday parties, venue hire for social bookings and sports fitness. Not only is our licensed sports bar and kiosk a great place for after match drinks but it can also be used as a function room for your next corporate, club or family event.

Northcote Indoor Sports is a member of Indoor Sports Victoria, Cricket Victoria and Cricket Australia. This gives our players the opportunity to participate in state run tournaments by representing our own teams called the Northcote Knights and have pathways to even one day represent Australia.

Even though I’m not a native Aussie, the staff always make me and my 3 hybrid offspring feel welcome here! My greatest fear is having an underarm bowled to me for the final ball, when I need 6 runs to simply draw the match. Thankfully Peter and the crew haven’t allowed it - yet…
The person named Peter who was very rude and he was also playing in other court with their team mates, he told me very rudely to do not touching the net while I was fielding or running and one of his team mate abusive on us. on the other end their team mates jumping on the net and free to do any thing in the court. I never recommend this place to Playing due to rude behaviour of this person
Took my daughter here for her friends birthday party and the whole group had a great time.
We recently had my son’s 6th Birthday at Northcote Indoor Sport. I really did not want to leave a review like this, because when I called and made arrangements with Peter he was so lovely and accommodating and it all sounded and looked good online. We have a soft spot for indoor sports centres as we have played at our local for many years, but I recommend you go and see the place before you book here as sadly the expectations do not match reality. As I said I feel really awful as I understand the struggle small businesses have gone through with covid, but I wanted to make sure there is a balanced, reasonable review available online for other parents of young children. On a positive note the kids had a good time and a good run around. The staff were nice enough, but aside from the boys who ran the games that’s basically all you get. I was told by Peter that all would be organised and I wouldn’t have to do a thing but that disappointingly did not happen. I was clearing mess, cleaning spills, cutting cake and serving the kids drinks tap water from huge heavy jugs that they couldn’t lift themselves while the staff sat back and conversed - at one point I asked them to help and they scurried a little but didn’t do much for long. When I asked for some plates and spoons for the cake I was told “we have nothing to do with the cake, I don’t even know if I have anything”. Thankfully they did, but to hear that was so stressful, given I had kids and parents standing around waiting. For a sports venue hosting children’s birthdays, it was filthy. The bathrooms clearly weren’t cleaned prior as they smelt of urine. The soap bottles were filled up with water to make more soap. The place really is old and tired - not what you see in the pictures. I was assured there would be plenty of food and not to bring too much, but thank goodness I still brought lots of fruit and snacks as the only thing provided were Domino’s pizzas which didn’t arrive until right at the end. The coffee was really bad - surprising because the equipment looks ok so it wouldn’t be hard to make a decent coffee if the staff got training on how to use and maintain it properly.
Our 2 families of 4 adults and 10 children absolutely had a blast. 1 hour of inflatable fun and 1 hour of bubble soccer. Looks pretty small but didnt matter cause our group had so much fun. Also staff Charlie was so friendly and helpful and attended to our needs. Thank you so much, we will be back for sure

Brilliant centre and the friendliest staff. Had a makeover during COVID and the paint is fantastic. Great for social sports including indoor cricket, netball, soccer and beach volleyball. Also a fantastic venue for children’s birthday parties, very accomodating to what your child wants to play and how you’d like the party to run. Couldn’t recommend this centre enough!

Great for kid's parties "They loved It" friendly staff,I highly recommend this business for your nexted event.
Friendly environment. Top service. Caters for children's parties and various indoor sports like soccer, volleyball cricket. Gender inclusive. Great refs.
