Nice location for a visitor centre and has friendly staff. Good to spend a couple of hours watching the Avon river and the birds. Worth visiting the indigenous gallery.

Fantastic exposition about the migration of European 'Displaced Persons' as well as Souther Europeans to Australia from 1949 to 1965 elaborating on the background and challenges the migrants faced upon arrival.

Lovely spot on the River. It should be your first place to visit when touring. As the staff were friendly, accomading, polite and a great space with gift shop items to purchase. Currently also a small art exhbition and a display of some history from the region. Maps and local advise on where to go and what to see. There is a cafe adjoining too and the tucker was quality and reasonably priced. Nice set up in a beautiful location in historic Northam.
