This is a gem of a place! I live close by but have never tried it before today and I regret that! The portion sizes are huge and there are heaps of veggo options. The flavour of every dish we had was on point. A friend who was with, who normally likes to add salt, happily declared that salt was not needed as the flavour was awesome. I loved that the veggies were fresh and crunchy! Great prices and very quick service. There can be at least 200 people seated at once! Massive! There is a big lazy Susan on every table which makes for sharing dishes, fun and easy. We even indulged in dessert. The deep fried ice cream has coconut on it which is nice. The red been pancakes are also very good. All in all...a great experience! Will be back to try more soon! Vegetarian options: Many options! Parking: Plenty of parking out the front Wheelchair accessibility: There are ramps, so it is very wheelchair and pram accessible
First time customer. Ordered takeaway from the website, easy to use and intuitive. The food......the food was amazing. Hands down best I have had. BBQ pork was succulent and flavourful, the sauce on the lemon grass chilli beef was perfectly balanced and the bean sprout noodles were perfect. Not mention polite and friendly service. I don't often tell people I'm a chef of 20 years but as a proffesional chef I HIGHLY recommend this place. First time customer, now a customer for life. Thank you North Lake BBQ.
Someone told me after the previous owner had moved out, the quality of the food here had dropped. Not so, cause the $10 lunch special lemongrass chicken with fried rice was delicious. The chicken was so tender and it gave grill-BBQ taste and wonderful aroma. We enjoyed this meal. We liked the well-roasted $11 fried vermicelli with hot egg sauce. We had added soy sauce to the less salty egg sauce. And we gave our feedback to the staff to add more egg sauce in future. Good lunch though. 2021-10
Went there for banquet, it’s a bit busy so some misunderstandings for the food order. But in general pretty good value for the portion & quality.
Duck is really yummy, portion is more than generous !
The food here is incredible. We have bought Chinese a lot at different places and this is the best we have ever had.. You must visit..The dining is beautifully set out..spotlessly clean and full-on service. The prices are very reasonable also

24 Jan 2020 I am back here again for Chinese New year reunion dinner. I just felt that I have to add comments here again. I called to reserved the table somewhere in early January and Kitty said that she will text me the confirmation and menu. However, it took me a while to reply as I was away but she remembered my reservation and had been following up with me. A good service. On the actual day, the restaurant was super busy and Kitty again remember me when I told her who I was and the food is superb. But I want to come t again that nice food without positive customer experience does not mean anything. The service was excellent even though the restaurant was pack and everyone was super busy. This proof that my posting review about good service was correct and kudos to the owner for continuing to main the high quality of service and also the food. =================================== 1st posting Food is nice and ambience is great. The service of the waitress is excellent. Location is easy to find.
Delicious and good quality food,. This restaurant famous with the roast duck and last night we ordered it. The roast duck really good and crispy! A lot of Chinese restaurants using a cheap rice, but this restaurant is different. The steam rice really good! The price itself very reasonable. The salt and pepper flounder and crispy beef is my recommendation beside the roast duck, you will like it!
Edited on 7 Sept 2018: I had initially rated 5 stars & been there a few times which I felt they still deserve that rating. However recently when we went again, the food standard on that day really dropped as compared to my previous experiences. Maybe it's just one of those days... Maybe it's because it was a Sat & indeed they were busy... Maybe they were a bit short-handed which is nearly always cos of the customer flow... but to me as a paying customer... none of the above should be a "valid" or acceptable reason for the poor food experience. Worse of all, that day I brought my friends visiting from Singapore & singing high praises about the restaurant. But they failed quite utterly that day. The only food that delivered above average was the crispy beef. Even their well known duck was just average that day. Their 3 cup chicken is the worse as it's so saltish & we can't take a second bite! Although the female boss apologise for the saltiness of the 3 cup chicken & explain the possible reason why this may happen she even not charge us for that dish which I must give her credit for good customer service... I can't in good faith & honesty put a good review here based on the food tasting experience. I will probably refine the ratings in future if I revisit them. However I frankly don't foresee myself going back on my own accord unless some friends or relatives are hosting a dinner party there & I'm invited. Sorry for the long comments/review Original comments ~8 months ago: The food here served are all delicious & quantity is also quite big portioned. Their duck is a "must try". I wouldn't dare to say it's the best in Perth but you will not regret trying for sure. It can be quite noisy cos they can be jam packed with customers, people like you and me. Hence it is understandable. Just don't expect to enjoy the nice food in total quietness or peace.
