The Noodle Tavern in Gisborne has new owners and there’s nothing quite like a positive change! The sunny bits: Full marks for the friendly, warm service throughout our meal there. The wonton noodle soup was a decent size with delicious homemade wantons in a heartwarming soup. The noodles were cooked perfectly. The Thai fried rice was full of the complex flavours one would expect from a Thai dish. The cloudy bits: It’s not that close to where I live, if not I’d be a weekly customer! The forecast: Great food and amazing service makes this place a must visit if you are in the area.
Best dumplings I've ever tried! They didn't stick together and left overs reheated nicely. Prawn crackers super fresh. Will be back to try their other dishes. Staff lovely and make sure you say hi to the cute resident fish - he's a sweety
Had Dim Sum with the wife and mother in law here, for lunch. Their dumplings are prepared fresh and it shows - they really are top rate! Staff made us feel very welcome. Recommend, and will certainly return.
Food is great but when you ring to order and they tell you to call back in 5 minutes, then you call back and they hang up on you and finally on the 3rd attempt it goes to voicemail I give up, don’t they realise it’s a service business and requires “customer service”.
What a biblical disappointment. Terrible service, terrible food.
Lady serving is rude and never smiles. They want to charge $10 minimum for eftpos but have $7.50 lunch deals... Doesn't make sense to me. Had beef n black bean and the noodles were off and tasted bad.
