We did the LOTR Tour in Queenstown with Ruth and it was awesome. She is so passionate and knows a lot of interesting details about the films and their productions. Furthermore the 4w-drive in the river including gold-seeking and the tour into Skippers canyon were fantastic. We always felt safe and entertained. We can definitely recommend it!
Benjamin just wanted to give us a great experience. I was not very good at quad biking and he decided it was best for me to ride with him while hubby was doing great. Up really steep inclines and down through icy mud, passing sheep with twists and turns and the best view of the peaks and sights around Queenstown Hill. Definitely a ride you won’t forget.
Our instructors were Sam and Braydon. Very professional, experienced and made sure safety was the number one priority. Had a great time with the different terrains from Snow to mud to river rocks. Really made good use of the time. Totally recommend them in a heartbeat.
We took half day LOTR tour with our guide Jenny. The off-roading experience and river crossings is the highlight of this tour. Its a good tour if you want to cover a lot of different areas around Queenstown Kawarau George, Arrowtown, Skippers canyon road etc which you might not be able to cover otherwise. Just a bit of a feedback for the company that the tour group should be selected based on age ranges, our tour was booked with elders who didn’t want to step out on most of the stops which made it very difficult for us to hop on and off from the back seats. At one point my view was completely blocked because I was sitting at the back in middle seat the tour had 6 people, in my option the max should be only 5 so that each person at least get the window view. Me and my husband were hesitant to hop out on interesting stops because we had elders with us on the tour, also they were picked before us so they took the best spots in the car as well. They were sweet enough to shuffle the seats with us but we felt embarrassed doing so as one of the lady mentioned that her husband starts to get sick when he sits at the back. Our experience could have been better if these little things were taken care of.
Great tour, included hotel pick up and drop off. Communication was great, pre rider education was good. This is not a tour for thrill seekers, this is a very easy quad tour. Unfortunately we couldn’t go faster than 40kms which I get for insurance reasons there has to be restrictions. You will get taken to some beautiful views and told of some of the town history. All riding gear supplied including pants, jacket, helmet and goggles.
Jenny our tour guide was amazing! Shoutout to our lovely tour buddies Steph and Graham. We were picked up from our Hotel and given a wonderful tour which included a delicious hot cup of tea with a stunning view. Can not recommend enough!
WORTH EVERY PENNY. Being able to walk onto the filming sites of Lord of the Rings was amazing. Brent was a fantastic guide, his love of NZ comes through in his enthusiasm and knowledge of the area. Seeing your friends dress up Elvish cloaks and swords in the forest will always be a treasured memory.
This was the best activity we have done in Queenstown. We had our 16 year old son who had a blast! Guides were awesome and views unreal. Such an amazing afternoon!
The 4 of us absolutely loved our 4WD tour with Nomad Safaris yesterday. It was an awesome 4 hours! Jenny was awesome, an incredibly skilled driver & very knowledgeable. She also went above & beyond to make sure we had a great time. Skippers Road was the highlight, a fabulous opportunity. Hubby & I will be back to do Skippers Canyon & Macetown!
MUST DO!! Joe and Johnno were amazing guides, super fun and very knowledgeable about the history of queenstown // the surrounding mountains and towns. We got a perfect sunny day, you cannot beat the views!!!! Such a fun 3.5 hours. 100% worth every cent- add it to your list!
