Amazing place. One of my favourite place for a morning coffee, meetings, lunches and even mums night outs. I love to come here just to read a book a calm environment by the fireplace, too. Lovely stuff and great menu. You should definitely try vegan breakfast and also coconut cheesecake
We had the most wonderful experience at No 1 Duke Street at lunch today. The food, drinks, service & attention to detail was excellent. The ambiance & decor amazing. Thank you Giovanni & Faustas! We can’t wait to come back again! Highly, highly recommended.
A great restaurant and bar tucked down a small side street. You walk into a great outside space then on into the restaurant itself. It's a large area with great decor. We have visited a few times now but have only managed to eat from the brunch menu! The food is great and of good quality ingredients. They offer a varied brunch menu to suit all tastes including some healthy or naughty dishes; chia bowl or a brioche bun with a burger patty for example. During our only evening visit for drinks we found the atmosphere to be enjoyable. The drinks on offer are extensive with well made cocktails. The staff are friendly and have extensive memory retention when taking your order. The guy who served us most recently handled 8 of us with ease.
My favourite breakfast at Richmond! Pancakes, vegan plate and Eggs Benedict…all of them are amazing! If you be there after breakfast once we had a chance to try their burgers , they worth to try too!
Great place to hold office or any other large parties. The staff are wonderful and I just loved the ambience of fireplaces and Christmas trees. However food and drinks were a bit disappointing. Especially, the drinks looked and tasted all the same except the fruit toppings which were changed The place itself I will definitely recommend and quite close to the high street and Richmond Station.
Cute place hidden behind the main street of Richmond. Food and service was good. Wait for food much shorter than the app said so very happy! Was a bit annoyed as told one minute have to order via app and then finding didn't need to download app after all but winner in the end as meant could leave as soon as we were finished without having to try and chase someone for the bill. Will be keeping the app for my next visit
We visited for lunch on Friday and were rather disappointed with our food. The main waitress we had was friendly, however the issue for us was that the food was just not up to standard. One of our dishes the celeriac soup was very good, however the rest was extremely average. The lowpoint was the sausage roll - call me old-fashioned, but if I pay £7.50 for a sausage roll, then that is what I'd expect to get - not just 4 thin slices of someone else's sausage roll. The "Mixed Vertical Farmed Leaf Salad" was basically just half a bag of salad with some olive oil poured over it. Not sure what happened to the vinigarette that was supposed to accompany it. We visited with some of our family who had been previously and said it used to be very good here - but they were also equally unimpressed by this visit.
We came here for brunch and the food was excellent, menu was excellent and included a creative mix of dishes of high quality and inclusive options. All staff were friendly, fun and welcoming plus its dog friendly! Definitely will be a regular spot. One minor disappointment was the pressed juices were bottled rather than fresh, but they were still very good.
I wanted to love this restaurant, the room is lovely, imaginative and the whole concept viewed online is great. But the food was poor, my 'bowl' dish had roasted aubergine which was rock hard and, reluctantly, I sent it back and had something else avocado green goddess which again wasn't special toast was hard and the avocado invisible under the mung beans, although the poached egg was totally perfect. I'm so sorry as I really hoped to have found a special restaurant to return to again and again. Service wasn't prompt, we sent one of the children to find dessert menus after waiting too long.
I visited No 1 Duke Street with some friends. The food was great, drink list was varied, the service was superb and the atmosphere just great to have a fun time with loved ones. I will certainly visit it again!
