Inspired by the quintessential 1940’s diner, NKB Express brings a fun, retro-chic, express option to Brisbane’s west.

Story

Situated next to the Indooroopilly Train Station, we offer breakfast bagels, gourmet burgers, great coffee, frosty milkshakes and cosy booth seating. As a little sister to Nantucket Kitchen & Bar, we use a traditional charcoal oven to put a delicious twist on menu items. Expect the same high quality food, delivered in an express time frame.

Supporting our local community is important to us – we source our products fresh from the markets on a regular basis. At NKB Express, you can expect to enjoy grass fed beef, organic chicken, and house made condiments – this even includes our ice cream which we make from scratch!

The American themed dinner has had tasty food for a great price for years now. The ambience is fun for breakfast, lunch or dinner. What a treat to get tasty, fresh waffles. Indoor and outdoor seating.
It had been probably 5 years since I'd visited NKB and I'm pleased to discover that it's just as good as I remember. Great decor and delicious burgers. I particularly enjoyed the loaded fries.Food: 5/5
Discover the place recently and very happy with it! Located on a very busy street next to the Indooroopilly train station. Does not look fancy outside, but internal decoration is great. Food is fantastic! Great burgers and awesome sweet potato chips!!! Tempted to try waffles but was so full. Might give it a try next time. Definitely worth the visit!
Great theming, pretty long wait while they apparently prioritised Uber orders. Burgers tasty but not massive. 5 chunks of gristle in my beef patty. Just 2 or 3 in the other patty around the table - at least this proves they might be made in house. Chip sizings small. Wanted to pay whatever they asked to get a bulk dish full of them to put in the middle of the table, but they wouldn't have a bar of it. Drinks about average. Overall pricing OK. We'd rate 3.5 - 4.
Food was so delicious,service was quick and friendly. Loved the 50s vibe of a diner. Peanut butter milkshake was so good. Also reasonably priced. There were four of us dining and we all loved our food.
One of Brisbane’s best kept secretes. It’s charming theme places you right jack in 1950s America. One can easily imagine what sitting in dinner beside a busy road side must have been like. The food is authentic American without being overly greasy or fatty. Easily a great place when thinking of a date night or first date. If you can manage to get up early the breakky is on point.
Lovely place! The burgers were worth every cent and the wait times were good. The waffles were made fresh and not frozen which took me by surprise. They were so fresh and fluffy. I wish I went to this place earlier!

Extremely poor service and health concerns - Ordered a plain hot dog with tomato sauce, waitress initially tried to charge me for the most expensive hot dog they serve until I asked her to change it. When my food came it had mustard all over so I asked for it to be replaced. The “new” hot dog is just the old one with the sauce clumsily scraped away and flipped the sausage over. All the while the waitress was extremely rude me and made me feel uncomfortable. Truly disgusting behaviour Dietary restrictions: Terrible for anyone needing to make changes against the menu
First time I dropped in for a meal and I was not disappointed! Bacon and eggs was fresh delicious and cooked to perfection! Coffee was very good too and I am fussy. Staff were very friendly too!!!
