Located at The Pines shopping centre on the exterior of the building for easy access outside of shopping centre hours. Great food that is pretty authentic. Portion sizes are good and service is fast. Takeaway available. If you dine in and want to take your leftovers away you’ll have to pay a small charge for the container. The in-dining is pretty good - free tea with your meal. Well sought out by locals. Staff are lovely and very helpful. Dietaries catered for - to a point. Wheelchair friendly. Kid friendly. Good parking.
On our way to Warrandyte, we dropped by this Asian eatery at the Pines. We ordered a few of their dishes on rice and were blown away by the generous quantity of food provided! My favourite was the XO chicken on rice. Slightly spicy and full of vegetables plus chicken, this went well with the jasmine rice. With free prawn crackers to boot, we will be returning for sure!
Whenever I go to Chinese or Asian restaurants in general I never know what to order and always end up getting honey chicken or Singapore noodles. This time I ordered honey chicken my first time coming to this restaurant The chef was confused and the lady came from out the back and said something that sounded like "yes honey chicken with fried rice 16.50" Great! I waited for my wonderful honey chicken, took it to my car and opened it up... Not sure what I got, it definitely isn't honey chicken, whatever it is, it is delicious, spicy and plenty of veggies. Happy days, I now have another meal I can order but I don't know what it is called. Please help!
Shocking, ordered takeaway on the phone - arrived to pick up and was told “only take cash”. I then spent 20 min trying to find an ATM. Of course by then the food was cold. Disgusting Dim Sims- no better than the supermarket frozen packets. Save yourself a lot of time and disappointment. Soup was good.
Finally some great Chinese food! So much flavor! Very well priced. Staff were very nice and couldn’t do enough to help. I made a phone order and they let me know that they only take cash so I was able to prepare. Very impressed and will return.
Amazing food and even better service! This is my go-to chinese takeaway shop because the food is delicious, affordable, nicely sized and they're always super accommodating when I ask if I can have a dish with no meat - instead offering me extra vegetables, tofu and egg.
Ordered their omelette and it was actually delicious. The most annoying part is that they only take cash! Even during covid cashless they only take cash. The staff was a bit rude when you ask if eftpos is available. Like who doesn't have eftpos at this day and age!
Food was alright but I have no idea as to why in this day and age Nice Asian Canteen accepts cash only payments instead of EFTPOS, and their idea of a "receipt" is a handwritten note with the word "dinner" and the total payment amount underneath it!! If you don't know how to use the cash register and receipt printer, ask and find out!! And for the love of God join the 21st century!!!
My favourite place to eat in Melbourne .... amazing food always made just the way I ask for it. The owner, she is an amazing lady and always takes great care of my friends and I when we go!!! The Calamari is the best in town ....
Nice food but the attitude of the chef is poor. He didn’t mention “Only CASH” to me on the phone when I making the order and blaming me it was my fault not asking : damn.
