Had a large formal Graduation dinner here and it was amazing. Well executed and food was delicious. Great night
So Grinspoon who brilliant.nExcellent venue for a live performance.nEasy carparking in club around the back.nToilets were a plenty and the beer not too expensive.
Usually I'm happy with NEX but found them a big disappointment this time. Our tickets were booked early and then we received an email telling us those seats were no longer available. We would be seated where they pleased. The replacements would have been OK if I was physically able, but I'm not. What really upset me was there people in the upper level seating that we'd been denied.nAnother problem I'm finding is the lack of an elevator. Steps from the carport are manageable, but to reach the auditorium is quite a hike. Being a Beatles show, I was not the only elderly person with this predicament. Hopefully there are plans in the works to rectify this. If not I can see ticket sales dropping below current levels. Overall being a member is great, but this last trip has put a dull edge on the usual experience.
Great place for dinner and drinks. The Membership is affordable and has many extra rewards. The meals were excellent and full of flavour. The coffee and cake were also delish!! Staff were all happy and helpful too. Will be back next time we come to Newcastle
My understanding is that NEX is a club with a range of venue spaces for hire, hence the name.nnParking is good on a Sunday due to the free 9 to 6 offer. At the time of visiting there is also a spending $20 getting all day parking deal but I didn't investigate further.nnThere is a good selection of eateries and a bar on the ground floor. The food is well prepared and good value. Members enjoy a 10% discount.nnThe facilities are quite new and well maintained.nnThe main event hall is quite spacious and well equipped.
