A nice train station, pretty clean compared to most. Toilets available although past the barriers so make sure you have your Opal card or phone to tap to enter. No attendants on site when we were there on a Sunday afternoon but there was a cleaner attending to the toilets plus music buskers to entertain those in the area.

Another part of Sydney, that's completely different to the CBD, cool shops, so many health and wellness cafes, vegetarian and vegan restaurants, a must visit, but put on your walking shoes

A train station located in the relatively walkable suburb of Newtown serving T2 trains. The station has an island-platform arrangement, and features ticket gates, toilets & a lift.nnIt is nearby an ALDI, a variety of food options particularly for vegetarians! and is not too far from St Peters, Macdonaldtown or USYD.nnHowever, I wish that the A36 is rerouted around Newtown- as currently, the nearby routes are bottlenecked, noisy stroads that make it less pleasant for pedestrians. If this was fixed, Newtown could become even more vibrant & walkable!

incredible service - I left an important item on the train and whoever was on shift at Newtown calmly and quickly called other stations to collaborate and try to search for my item. Albeit the item was given in by a passenger and not found by search, i’m grateful to this team for having shown care in my distressed state so thank you!!

Busy station in Sydney’s inner west despite not being a transport hub. Modernised in the last few years it retains its heritage charm at street level while offering lifts to the platform and new toilets. Offers easy access to many eating and drinking options in the area as well as the Enmore Theatre for music gigs.
