Love this place! The people are friendly, the food is great. Very tasty, good portion size and very well priced. The kids love too.
Friendly service, good food and variety if dishes. Would definitely go back. Only thing stopping me from 5 out of 5 is that the tables aren't always clean. Little things matter. I'll definitely be back.

I'm sitting right here eating a bowl of bun cha and cannot believe it's taken me a year to discover New Star. Amazing food. Fresh, delicious and ridiculously cheap! Friendly service too. With so few non-thai Asian options in Balmain, I'm so happy to have found this place!
Cheap and cheerful fare served by a warm, friendly Vietnamese family. Our favourite dishes are BBQ Pork Vermicelli Salad and Crispy Chicken Noodle Soup.
first of all i love this place but when i went there today to get a takeaway beef pho they gave me half the amount of noodles and when i was eating the pho i found multiple hairs in my soup and i know they r not my hairs cos i have blonde hair and these were jet black do not go there unless u want hair in ur soup
I don’t know about the Vietnamese, but the Chinese was not right. San Choi Bow with peas and corn is wrong
Love this place! I’ve been coming for years. Delicious and fresh Vietnamese food with lovely staff and great prices.
