I think this is the best chips in Melbourne! So crispy at outside and creamy inside. The burger was yummy and full of flavour. Will definitely come back to try different thing and more chips!
Very good burgers. Free drinks with any chips.
Really good service: I have been here a few times earlier - nice burgers though a bit too much sauce for my taste, nice chips and good Aoili. Fast service & clean enough. Today I bought the Deli Brisket Burger. It's usually very nice. But today the meat was VERY shewy. Not at all tender enough. It was so bad I returned the burger to the counter. The waitress heard me out, apologized and immediately asked what I wanted instead. Just a few minutes later I had a great burger at the table. Excellent service skill!
Thick shakes are great tasting, although are towards ice cream/ice crushed/slushie styled rather than milk and ice cream styled. Very nice milkshakes. Excellent chips, very tasty. Burgers, the main event, are hit and miss unfortunately. Went there last night, we got Southern Beef burger and the Brooklyn burgers. Both had excellent cheese. It was stringy and stretchy - yum! However, cream cheese and BBQ sauces were quite overpowering. Nice for the first 2 bites, then slowly got sickening. Too sweet. Also there was this sort of smoked ham/pastrami thing brisketin both of them which not only added excessive sweetness but also mine was completely tough, fatty and impossible to chew. So I had to pull it out and just eat the rest of the burger. I would recommend these burgers without the brisket if you want to enjoy more. Owners - consider change to recipe? Just a friendly suggestion. So in the meantime I would recommend avoiding any burgers with brisket in them or just order one with no brisket
Upon entrance the young lady with short hair, served us on the 24/1/19 at approximately 815pm, Ido apologize I didn't get your name. Was warm and welcoming, took our order and as we waited, she kept us up to date on the wait time, once it was ready, despite being take away she brought it out to us. Customer service was A+++, owner/ management you should be proud of your staff member and value and appreciate her. To the chef, the burger was delicious, so thank you for a doing a great job at making my burger, I had the Hudson valley Vegan Burger, with GF bun. My mum was also impressed with her non vegan burger as well, she enjoyed it.. Overall, the service was amazing and the food was on point, first time customers and will definitely be back. Thank you to the team who keep your business running.
The food was absolutely amazing! Service was friendly. Therefore 5 stars. Negative things though is the presentation. The blayn white contrast works in moderation but here it's over the top. It creates feeling of hospital-like place. Very cold and unwelcoming. I would also reconsider the lighting. Are we on catwalk while eating? And another thing. The serving baskets. They work for the chips but not the burgers. Not everyone is able/ wants to eat like a truck driver stuffing food down the throat. A nice plate and cutlery would be great. Thank you for good service and providing me with a plate : I recommend this place!
I've edited this review, adding one more star, just because I received a reply from whoever manages the New York Minute in Google Maps. Good for you for showing interest and approaching real customers' feedback, thanks! Given the reply, I'll elaborate a bit more the why so poor review. I'll have to start by saying that I had been meaning to try a New York Minute burguer for a long time, but whenever I ordered burguers using Foodora, Uber Eats or Deliveroo, it always had worse reviews than other burguer restaurants. Not sure why, but I do remember that happening, in this case, for CBD location restaurants. This time, given the opportunity, although my daughter recognised another burguer restaurant when we arrived just opposite to NYM, I insisted in checking the New York Minute instead. And unfortunately, that was a big mistake. I'll say that a few of the things that I didn't like were personal as the drinks range or the bun, or the burguer taste, and a few, were poor service. Regarding poor service, although there's a huge poster sign outside advertising for any free drink when buying a burguer and fries OR free fries when ordering any burguer and a drink, none of that was explained to me by the person who took my order, and I actually payed in full for three burguers, a small dose of fries, a coke no sugar and a bottle of water. I only noticed the poster when I left, and by that time, I didn't want to bother going back and claiming for what I just assumed to be a missed chance. Regarding my and my family's personal taste, I'll say that the burguer itself, from the sauce to the meat patty, didn't thought of it as nothing special. I particularly disliked the bun, quite big and heavy on sugar, really, really sweet! We could almost eat that for dessert! I'll say that the fries were ok. The small portion was very generous, and they seemed nice, with a "rustic" look, some showing bits of peel still on them, which might mean they're not frozen, not sure. I also didn't like the small range of drinks, especially the fact of not serving beer. I understand that it might just be an option of the restaurant never been to other locations, so not sure if that's an option across all, or just the one at Highpoint. And now just for being "picky", we also disliked the napkins... : quite thin and small, not the best option to have for cleaning after eating a big burguer full of sauces dripping... And replying directly to the question, I had a Rockefeller was expecting a bit more spicy heavy, but it wasn't at all, so another reason for disappointment, my wife had the mini new york which she also didn't think of nothing special and my 5 year old had the kids burguer that had an over proportioned bun, and a tiny portion of cheese... So there you go. Wish you all the best, but given this experience, comparing with other equivalent in price and diversity of choice options, I really couldn't give this experience a better review.
Best burgers in Melbourne!!! Matt Preston definitely isnt wrong about these burgers! Full of flavour! Add a basket of chips with aioli dip and it finishes it off perfectly! Very friendly and helpful staff. Perfect place to eat before going to the cinemas.
Burger was yummy, really amazing chips and reasonably priced. Just staff was not so friendly. Though order came quickly, but the staff just whisked away and have to ask about drink, she just instructed to get from the fridge while walking away.
New York Minute Highpoint has been consistently great. Tonight was exceptional due to the manager on duty who went totally out of his way to make the experience a pleasant one and saved the day. We usually order from here through Uber Eats, but recently the New York Minute app was recommended as the preferred method of ordering your delicious burgers. Have used your app twice before without any issues for delivery. Tonight, placed an order, paid for it in full only to get a confirmation stating that the order was for 'pickup'. Which it was not. Was not given the option either way just assumed as usual that it would be delivered. Called the restaurant only to be told there was no delivery on Wednesday, but the manager on duty went out of their way and had the order delivered to our door. Totally awesome service. And great staff, so thank you! To whoever is responsible for the New York minute app, I have some advise as I will not use it again! Make sure you tell your customers if delivery is not available BEFORE they pay and place their order, and not in the confirmation email and text message after the fact. Your staff saved the day for you so I hope you treat and pay them well. This review would have been a 0 if it wasn't for them! In short, Great service, Great food, but terrible ordering app and will stick to uber eats going forward.
