This supermarket has a very good cashier. My wife took our child shopping and initially bought some drink. Then, she went to The Warehouse for shopping and then she realized need to return to NW to buy more items for me . When checking out, my wife had a drink in her pocket that she had already paid for earlier. This stupid cashier asked my wife for the previous receipt. My wife didn’t keep the receipt, so she asked for proof of bank transfer. Everything before this, I can understand. But Even after checking the transfer, she still doubted whether it was from that day’s purchase. What an excellent and responsible employee! You should be proud to have such a staff member!

I've just gone through the self service checkouts and was really happy to see Jude looking after that area this afternoon. She always has a smile and is quick to help with any issues. She's a real asset for this supermarket  - which has problems with some other staff members in the self service checkouts. I'll review them seperately because they're going to be getting a one star rating.nBut Jude is a gem...She looks after us customers beautifully!!

I have been here only a few times because it doesn't take cash at self-service, and I have to wait to be cleared by attendant for potential stolen goods every time I shop. Btw, I don't have a criminal record. Staff are lively though.

This supermarket has gone down hill in the packing of groceries. First I refuse to scan my own groceries as I don't like being gawked out constantly by a staff member watching over everyone.nHalf way through having my groceries packed a senior staff member told the girl to go home & they both walk off leaving me to finish the job.nWe will be spending our  to 2 to 2.5k a month elsewhere. Enoughs enough Matamata New World sort it out.

My wife went to buy a birthday cake this morning.  A very rude male worker in the bakery was arrogant and unhelpful.  Since when does it take 5 days to produce a cake?  This supermarket is terrible.  Many items due to expire but with normal too high prices compared to other supermarkets!nThe owner of this business really needs to up his game.  Too expensive, poor quality fruit and vegetables, milk due to expire along with other items and some staff need training in politeness and service.  Matamata needs a Paknsave urgently!
