Very disappointed, the food was oily and poorly made. The only 2 things that tasted nice were the fried chicken and fried rice. The flavor in all other dishes was lacking, and the Xiao long bao was raw on the inside. We only found out after a few had already been eaten. The server removed it from the overall cost. However, any restaurant that serves raw pork to a customer is a huge red flag. In terms of customer service, one of the girls gave an impressiom like she didn't even want to be there, the other did her job both nothing notable. I wouldn't recommend or risk coming to this restaurant with its poor food and customer service. There are plenty of other places to go that offer much better safer, better options & dining experiences.
Service was slow and took a while to be noticed and served. Braised beef and 3 cup chicken was dry despite sitting in broth. Cold tofu was nice and refreshing.Food: 3/5
Very fast service. Good sized meals. Ordered just a hot and sour soup for $5.50 and was expecting a small bowl of it. But instead I got a full sized bowl! Everything tasted amazing. Definitely would return again
Ordered takeaway from this place and waiting time is not too bad. Both the green beans and vermicelli are too salty for my liking. For $19.80, the portion of the green beans are way too small. Would not recommend.
I went there for oyster noodle soup and it was delicious!! When you are away from home, it is not easy to find the hometown food that brings you back home. Of course, I wouldn't say everything here is exactly like what we have in Taiwan, but at least you can see they do make the food with love. And the crab dumpling was awesome, they make it fresh when you order, it is really nice to have such a "close to home" cafe there for me when I miss home. Will come back definitely!
My last overseas trip before COVID hit was to Taiwan just over a year ago. Had a sudden craving for Taiwanese Beef Noodle Soup today so I decided to try this restaurant out. I wasn't disappointed! I ordered the beef brisket noodle soup with a soya egg and it tasted pretty authentic. The beef was tender, the soup stock was flavourful, and the noodle had a nice bite to it. the service was pretty quick too!
Looking forward to hearing to Taiwan in the very near future so had to try New Taipei to see what type of food I'd be trying. I was impressed with the range of choices on the menu and decided to go with the chicken cutlets that were beautifully deep fried to perfection. The portion size was generous. All washed down with a Taiwan beer - made it all that much better. The prices were reasonable. The staff were very efficient and lovely big smiles with every interaction. Eat in or takeaway but I'd suggest stop and enjoy this place. It's quite lovely amongst so much competition. Wheelchair friendly. Kid friendly. Pram and stroller accessible. Nice and close to the tram stop.
New Asian Experience!!! Nice, cozy and friendly environment with awesome staff!!! The food was extremely delicious!!! I just became they're fan!!! We ordered two entries - Crispy Spring Onion Pankaces and Deep-fried Tofy with Garlic Sauce - delicious ones... Following with two mains Signature Taiwan La Mian in special Spicy Soup and Taiwanese Style Popcorn Chicken Rice set with beer and ice milk tea. So, all of this costs only $49.90. Really worth it!!! Highly recommended to visit!!!
Original Xiao long bao is so good. Very juicy and yummy. Also fried green bean is savoury good match with rice. Fried rice with beef was good. But fried chicken was too salty even we could not finish half.
I came here for intestine vermicelli noodle soup because I miss the one in Taipei but they only have oysters for that day. The taste was good. it would be better with intestine I also ordered fried calamari which is tasty and crispy No dipping sauce Wo come back to try another dishes next time
