Good Yum Cha, quality was decent. There could of been a bit more variety with the trolleys going around though, we were offered alot of fried dishes and not as many steamed. Plenty of parking around so its our go to yum cha if we have people coming in different cars.
I am really conflicted about this place. Lovely venue, friendly wait and serving staff, absolutely delicious food and the experience of cooking your own hotpot with fresh ingredients was great. What was wrong you ask? When my 80yr old father went to pay he insisted the woman I can't bring myself to call her a lady sensed an opportunity to take advantage of an old man. Luckily I pushed him to tell me how much the dinner for 3 was. When he showed me the receipt, she had charged him for the table with 6 people next to us. Easy mistake right? Well he queried her three times before paying as he thought it was high, and she told him 3 times it was because of Chinese New Year fixed price of $55 per head. I talked to the excellent young waiter who had served us and he was shocked and immediately had her rectify the situation. She refused to credit the amount back to my dad's credit card I assume as this would show up in the statements and be queried by management and paid the refund in cash. The grand total of this was over $70 difference, nearly double the actual price of approx $80. She refused to make eye contact and was very surly at having been caught out. If the owners or management wish to contact me to discuss and get more information please let me know. Be wary when paying and triple check your receipts. Such a shame as I would love to have this awesome food and convenient location as a regular eatery.
Very delicious and flavourful dim sum.
We came here for lunch on boxing day. The place was full and we were lucky we made an earlier reservation. Out of the dishes we ordered, pecking duck was good though it was less crispier but more meatier. Special fried rice was really good. The diced chicken fried rice and singapore fried noodles could have been prepared in a better way in my view. The portion sizes of all were quite generous. The place had nice ambience and seating. Parking was ample.
The food is awesome, very good indeed. Price is pretty standard for yum cha too, so not too expensive. The egg tarts are amazing! And the chicken feet was nice as as well if you're scared to eat chicken feet, just give it a shot, I'm an Australian and I have never regretted my first taste. Service is normal for a yum cha, actually probably a bit better than usual. If you're used to Western dining, you'll find the service bad - but believe me, there is much worse.
Pricey but very good chinese cuisine. The salt and pepper crab was flavoursome and the crab was fresh. Lobster in garlic ginger sauce and noodle base was also good. The surprise dish was the mouth watering chicken. Flavour was spot on. Friendly customer service.
My goto Chinese restaurant, I've been going here for over 30 years and still love it. Very friendly staff some of whom I've know all that time. 3 seatings of Yum Cha and a fantastic a la carte menu, which includes two of my favourite meats Emu and Crocodile. They also sell all the usually BBQed meat by the kilo. Being non Asian, but willing to try new and exotic foods, I often tell the waiter what meat I'd like and let them decide how it is prepared ie off the menu, well the English one at least and I've never been disappointed.
Late decision for yum cha was well worth it, would have liked a few more seafood dishes but they could be reserved for the Weekends. Carts were plentiful and no real wait time. Very nice :
Nice food, but as with all other Cantonese restaurants, the waiter's attitude is just incredible. They get mad over nothing. All Cantonese restaurants I've been to in Melbourne has this common issue. Waiter's are just extremely rude to all customers not just me. Don't start a conversation unless necessary, otherwise they'll ruin your mood for sure.
Food is fairly average and decor is dated. Customer service was almost non existent and when they got our order wrong they made no attempt at fixing. Would prefer to go towards Glenny for a Chinese food fix.
