Appalling communication!! or rather the complete absence of it. Ordered an expensive dining set, paid upfront. Understandably deliveries are delayed due to shipping problems but that does not explain the complete and utter lack of response to queries. When the furniture finally arrived the delivery person was not instructed to assemble it. This is heavy oak that requires proper assembly and we had to pay out of pocket to put it together. To add insult to injury 2 pieces of furniture were not delivered and this was acknowledged by the owner only after it was pointed out by us. They then promised to deliver the missing pieces only to gaslight us later by asking whether we could pick them up ourselves. Now I understand this could be potentially fun for someone who has nothing else to do other than chasing furniture; but I have to point out that most of us value our time and our commitments to our clients. We went in to help a small business owner in the current economic climate note that the same furniture is available in bigger stores; it appears that they are not in for the business but to while away their time. I would not hesitate to rate this as the worst shopping experience - ever
Order placed by my husband in December for my Christmas present, was notified that wine glasses were on pre-order for delivery in February, no contact by email or otherwise to advise of delay, February been and gone, emailed them myself with no response to my email. Checked website page for the wine glasses that kept getting updated with new delivery dates being pushed out, still no contact from Nest. Finally arrived out of the blue in JULY, only 7 MONTHS after the order was placed, with NO contact or communication from the store. Opened package to find the glasses are not what they look like on the website, whether by design or fault I’m not sure. I’d contact them to discuss a resolution but my experience placing and receiving my order makes me want to avoid speaking to them at all they probably wouldn’t get back to me anyway, so that’s how you get negative reviews.
I too would give zero stars if I could. Visited the store to purchase a sofa. I was quoted $2495 and 2995 for two different sizes. I reconfirmed whilst in the store that basically if I purchased I would be paying $2.5k for the 2100mm sofa and $3K for the larger sofa. After borrowing the grey cushions from a sofa to take home to enable me to confirm the colour, I returned to the shop with the decision to purchase the smaller sofa option. When I checked the figures, the owner Pixie had entered on the eftpos machine it was showing $3,495 which I questioned immediately. She then informed me that she had quoted for the sofa with white covers, not the grey. So basically $1000 for grey as opposed to white. I found this unbelievable as I had taken the grey cushions home to check the colour. We had even had a conversation in the shop about white covers not being an option for my grubby household. I then informed her that it was outside my budget. She then offered to drop the price by $500. I reluctantly agreed as I had set my heart on the sofa. We then arranged for it to be delivered the following Tuesday and I stayed home all day waiting for the delivery. I stayed home all day Wednesday and still a no show. Eventually a call after 5pm to inform me the sofa would be delivered Monday. When I said that I had been expecting it Tuesday and she should have be in touch to advise a change, she said the delivery people were supposed to contact me. This should have been her responsibility. She then said she had called me and I had not answered my phone. This was a blatant untruth as any call coming through on my mobile would have shown up as a missed call. When I challenged her on this she had no answer. Furthermore I was advised that on delivery the movers would unpack and set up the sofa and remove all packaging. When they arrived they advised me that they were not told to do this and that this was a service at additional cost. I phoned Pixie and got her to speak to the movers and assure them they would be able to charge for this. I would never again deal with such an unprofessional business. Appalling customer service and business practise. How they stay in business is beyond me.
Not great to shop with unfortunatley, do not recommend. Purchased some plates on 16th May, minimal communication on shipping delays, no upfront visibility of expected delay and 2 months of waiting. I replaced plates elsewhere. Sent emails asking for refund, no response. Phoned store and spoke with Pixie, they were expected to ship today 5th July??!!. No apology on delay, service or outcome. When asked when refund would be processed, was tomorrow when “admin” lady worked. Seriously I would expect a shop owner to do this without delay. Won’t purchase from here again.
Pixie is an absolute delight to deal with and went above and beyond while we were purchasing multiple pieces of furniture. Everything we purchased is great quality and we are really happy with our forever pieces. I would highly recommend nest.
Would give zero stars if I could . absolutely terrible customer service- - worst I have come across in any online store in NZ. In two separate orders over the course of 2 years I received faulty products, and both times I have received no reply to my numerous emails asking to rectify the issue. good range of products but i would not recommend this store at all due to their poor response. Buyer beware...
Absolutely love shopping at Nest! Quality of their goods is outstanding. When I visited recently the owner was there and I was amazed by her expertise in all things interior. Thank you so much for your advice, my living and dining areas now look amazing!
Had placed an order in January. Had one email on purchase and nothing since. Have emailed several times for update and no replies. Have tried phoning store. No answer. Very disappointing. Still awaiting my wine glasses.
It was lovely to meet the owner of Nest a few weeks ago. I bought Nest towels awhile ago and they are just superbly beautiful quality. I love the gorgeous bits and pieces Nest has. Highly recommend to all.
