Great place to go, even with the kids, free if you live in Nelson, which is great. There is heaps of local history, and there are different exhibits upstairs all the time, there is a bug one on at the moment, and my 4 year old loved it. Definitely a good wet weather day activity

Entry is $5 for adults. There is a bit about the history of Nelson and the geology that helped Nelson, but if you are not particularly interested in Nelson then there is not a lot. Bit of art upstairs but most of upstairs is being prepared for the next exhibition.

Nelson is a beautiful city with plenty to see and do, from historic Cathedrals to stunning beaches, great shopping and friendly people.
