I joined a cardio tennis group session recently. I won’t mention the person’s name or gender, but one of the instructors was quite unprofessional during the Thursday 7:15 am session, which was still open for booking the day before.nnDuring a 45-minute session, the instructor left for about 10 minutes, and even when present, she/he was not very engaged and tossed the balls carelessly.nWhile I understand that everyone has their own personality, I believe that if you are running a class, you should at least conduct it with a basic level of effort and professionalism.nUnfortunately, the experience left me feeling quite unpleasant and started my morning on a bad note.
Had a fantastic experience with Andrew, our guide ont he tour of the AO grounds. Jack was also helpful. Very knowledgeable and had some great insights. Really cool to see everything up close! Had a lesson afterwards and was very pleased. The front desk was super accommodating, I believe her name was Jordan that was so kind. Can’t wait to visit again when the tournament is going on!
Absolutely outrageous experience.nThis is the first review I’ve written in three years, and I’m writing it because I am genuinely furious. This place has the worst service I’ve ever experienced.nnMy best friend is leaving Melbourne soon, and we booked Show Court from 5:00 to 6:30 PM for our final tennis game together — something truly meaningful to us. At reception, we were told the lights would be turned on immediately. We walked 10 minutes to the court and waited. Nothing happened.nnWe called the front desk three times, and every time they said security would take care of it. But by 6:00 PM, the court was still in complete darkness. No one came. No action. No apology.nnThis is beyond disappointing — it’s infuriating. There is zero management, zero responsibility, and a complete lack of basic communication. They ruined a once-in-a-lifetime moment.
National Tennis Centre in Melbourne is an elite tennis training venue and the central training and assessment venue for AO Ball kids.nHigh performance training facilities are available to members although some of the facilities may be closed off 9am to 5pm week days to allow international circuit players to train. Alternative facilities are available during these times though.n15 plexicushion courts 8 indoorn6 Italian clay courtsnKids and adult coaching is offered and it's probably best to create a client profile on their website to see coaching availability.nGood coffee at the Cafe.nYou may require a map to navigate the massive gentleman's bathroom facilities.
Membership is costly and booking maybe difficult at times, best hard courts for competitive play
