I dispensed a repeat script for my daughter's antibiotics here as her ear infection was still as bad as it was 5 days prior when we saw the doc. The pharmacist asked the age and weight of my daughter as she noticed the low dosage on the script so queried what it was for. The doc had never asked us these questions and therefore the prescription was well under-dosed for my daughter's weight and hence her ear ache was still very infected. The pharmacist then went well above and beyond her duties; contacted the doc to clarify and discussed the situation then had another script written by the doc and sent directly to her with the correct dosage of medication per weight for my daughter more than double the original script and then dispensed the correct medication for us. Ever so grateful for the diligent attention to detail and above and beyond efforts of the lovely young pharmacist today for correcting the doctors' lack of duty of care and the incorrect prescription originally given. Highly recommended and greatly appreciated!!
Pharmacist told me off when I asked her to check if my doctor had sent a script through and I wasn’t sure when/how it had been sent. I completely understand if they needed more information to check and couldn’t help me, but they were so rude and berated me in a busy shop. So unprofessional!
Worst pharmacy experience I've had. Dropped a simple script, was told 45 mins which is longer than I've ever heard. I said ok and spent 45 mins keeping busy. Came back, they said it's not ready. He was about to finish convo and let me keep waiting, but I asked how much longer cause I was told 45 mins and it's been that long. He went to check and came back to tell me they don't even have it in stock. And their system is down so they can't even order it, but they can add it to a list to order later. Or, he said I can go somewhere else. I chose the second option.
I hate this pharmacy. I am a GP and am constantly interrogated over my scripts for no reason. I sent a simple amoxycillin syrup script with my husband today and they didn't have the strength which is ridiculous and instead of either trying to call me or just changing the strength of exactly the same thing just handed the script back. Have been coming here for convenience, but would rather drive further than deal with this awful place.
“the wait time is 1/2 hour” was the snappy and unapologetic response when I presented my script for one very simple item. This is on a Tuesday at lunch time. Unfortunately the same happened to me before at this outlet. I have been a member with National Pharmacies. Not good enough.
30 minutes for a simple prescription. Most pharmacies take 5-10 minutes. This pharmacy routinely takes 15-30 minutes. It has been like this for years, clearly National Pharmacies don’t really care about customer service at this location.
I wish I could give them less than zero. The staff took my scripts said 20 minutes wait time. After 35 minutes of waiting, came back to tell me, we don’t have the injection that your GP prescribed. If you don’t have it, why did you waste my 35 minutes
Very long waiting time for a prescription, minmum 15-25 min. The pharmacist was unfriendly and would not even speak with me about medicine advice.
Unbelievable the posts here saying bad stuff about the service at National Pharmacies Glenunga. It's quite the opposite. I am not a member and whenever I can, I shop there as they have many gift options including Glass House candles. Staff are very kind and polite and have a sound knowledge of the products available, including vitamins. They go beyond to help you get what you need if they are out of stock. I worked in pharmacy many years ago and I know how things work. Before you judge and call staff rude, pay attention to your own behaviour and to how you actually speak to people before pointing the finger. Some people wrote here there were charged when they are supposed to be on the free list. Did you let the staff know that? Did you produce your entitlement card when you brought the prescription? Or were you just expecting the staff or pharmacist to read your mind and figure it out? Did you ever think of asking for assistance instead of standing 10 minutes in front of the perfume cabinet hoping that someone will suddenly notice you? no. Then you quickly come here and post that no one bothered to help you. Really? Get a life. People in retail get verbally abused on a daily basis but no one seems to notice that. With Covid, things got much worse. Bunch of selfish people around who only think about themselves and what they want. wake up, it's not all about you. Give these people the respect and appreciation they deserve. I have been to other National Pharmacies branches as well and staff are always friendly and polite, give them a chance before posting this amount of rubbish here.
The service here is non existent. Staff actively avoid assisting customers. This morning I stood for at least 10 minutes in front of the fragrances. No one offered to help me. I was going to buy some Chanel but just left. There were no other customers and at least 4 staff farting around. When I've shopped here previously I've arrived home to find an item I'd paid for missing from the bag and another time I was overcharged a large sum. This store must be where they send the staff who can't be arsed. You could die in here and they would step over you to go to the lunch room. The exception here is the very nice pharmacist with black hair. If you live in the area and actually want service try the pharmacy on the corner of Ferguson Ave and Fullarton Rd.
