Went to National Pharmacies Blackwood at 8pm to get an inhaler for my sick son to ease his cough until we could get him in to the doctor in the morning but was told they wouldn’t give it to me as “you can’t get inhalers without a prescription” which isn’t true. I’ve previously purchased an inhaler without a prescription a couple of times. When I questioned the staff member they were extremely rude and dismissive. They clearly had no idea what they were talking about and they had a total lack of empathy.nI walked across the road to Terry White and they gave me the inhaler without hesitation and were very friendly.nDont waste your time going to National Pharmacies Blackwood.
They take your money quickly, but refuse to actually help. We asked for the pharmacist to sign a medical authority form which states that a pharmacist can sign but she refused because she said she would then be liable if anything happened, despite having a script from our paediatrician. If you were so worried about your duty of care, you wouldn't have fulfilled the script. One of the forms was literally for an off the shelf product. Ended up going to a local chemist and they had no issues filling out the form, and said it was really strange and disappointing that NP Blackwood didn't want to help.
I've always found them to be great, but recently I didn't have a good experience. I had to pick up new prescriptions, and I had to discuss with the pharmacist through a plastic screen all of my private health information. Everyone waiting was listening. I think there should be somewhere this sort of private information can be discussed. I don't want my business spread all over Blackwood. It was very disappointing, and I felt very uncomfortable.
ALWAYS CHECK TOO MAKE SURE YOURE PAYING THE RIGHT PRICE THEY CANNOT BE TRUSTED !!!!!!! Staff are a rude and disrespectful in a empty building they take over 40 minutes for one item will purposely insult customers and lie and over charge or not cover the charges of pensioners card and say it's been covered when I'm charged full price if you're going too lie national pharmacy at least be smart about the workers here and honestly the worse and are dodgy and lie for more money too the point I've been told by my doctor too take that matter up legally about their lying and deceiving incidents
Katy was an absolute star signing me up as a member again, saving me more than the membership costs, just before closing. Great pharmacist, didnt get her name. C'mon guys let's leave some positive reviews instead of feeding on negativity : Thanks again ladies!
