The exhibition on Captain Cook was thought provoking. Sometimes it feels like more effort is put into the shop and cafe than the exhibitions.
Very interesting exhibition in occasion of the 250th anniversary of the arrival of the Endeavour and its crew under James Cook. The exhibition tells the story from different points of view, mostly the Aboriginal tribes', whose lives where changed forever after the Europeans arrived in Australia.
Great place to visit and learn more about Australia. I love it. Free entry.
Very nice museum, we visited the Endeavour Voyage exhibition, it's really nice and tells the history from different views, including Aboriginals. Very interesting. Will definitely come back to see the other exhibitions. Staff is friendly and helpful.
Old stuff in it's natural habitat... surrounded by people who will go and tell other people the full history about which they only read three sentences on a placard, with the gravitas of a tenured professor. Exquisite. For instance... did you know...
Excellent place to visit and walk . Great place for Brunch/ lunch very relaxing. The Endeavour Display is fantastic very moving.
February, 2021.They were doing major renovations and most of it was closed. Must be better when it's all open. Free admission, parking for $4.00 near front doors.
Great place to visit with the kids. Lots of free exhibitions. Cafe serves great food with lots of vegetarian and gluten free options.
