Very interesting place to spend time and enjoy the very old items (4000 BC) presented on this exhibition.
!!! Virtual reality space is the most exciting. You can wear glasses and spend some time walking in a different reality :) Pay attention for a rest after because you can feel some sickness.
Also there are a lot of beautiful pictures inside!

I went to the Triennial and it was AMAZING. Highly recommend, a real mix of exhibits to suit everyone. Super interesting, inspiring and odd all in one place and all free. Congrats to NGV and everyone involved I've no idea how you do it! It's really a great way to change the perception of galleries. I can't wait for the next. Thank you.

Awesome collection of art and crafts under a single roof. It's quite different everytime you visit. Sure to not get bored.
Staff are friendly and helpful.

I have just been to the Dior exhibition and it is fabulous. Wonderful designs, silhouettes, construction, fabrics, and just all over it is beautiful. I so wanted to get my hands on the fabric and just feel it, and to turn the garments inside out and see how they were made. The best alternative to that is really to get a hold of the DVD of Dior and I and watch that. Such a beautifully curated exhibition.
The gallery itself is full of wonderful collections of lovely things. I adore the decorative arts section and the Asian art gallery is full of a small but exquisite collection of superb quality. Some of the European collection is great and other items are just period piece fillers. Overall it is definitely worth multiple visits.
The shop however needs a definite stock improvement. Their books and catalogues on offer are excellent, BUT the other merchandise is poorly selected and overpriced. The selection of jewelry for sale is actually dreadful. Genuinely pedestrian and awful.

Interesting, exquisite, creative, mindbending, quirky, classical, diverse, critical, fun, and more... Give yourself plenty of time to explore the treasures within, don't rush it. It has amazing artistically designed cafes to replenish you when you need a break, or sit and experience the moving/digital art sessions.
