Haven't been inside recently but a couple of time when I was young, it's a must if not been before. Great place for a break on your road trip. The tanks are fun for the kids to play on outside they there are picnic tables for lunch or a tasty hot beverage.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo wait
Great Museum and well worth the visit - will be going back again as there was so much to see and take in. Really liked the way it was laid out, lots going on in each of the exhibits. Could explore the history of the Army and how it was formed, some great exhibits too. Cafe and Gift shop are worth it, good prices and plenty to choose from. Food and drink nice too.
Absolutely amazing and well laid out Explains all wars in detail and picture's. Entry price really good and well worth it...a must must see and a great place to take the kids and learn the history
Very educational, displays put together very well, great array of products in the gift shop. Disappointed that there was no mention of the 21st Battalion, as my father served with it, but guess that is because of the display at the Auckland War Memorial Museum.
Great place to wander around both inside and outside learning about New Zealand history in war times. Very interesting and impressive. Lots to see.
Nice little Cafe to stop at. Didn't explore the museum at all as we were passing through quick. Looked pretty cool if your into water museums. Cool setup outside with tanks, anti craft wepons, ect, inside you have a cafe and a gift shop you can enter from the back, main entrance brings you to the museum desk, you have 3 options for entry, self guided, 20min info package and a premium guided tour, all are similar in price, ranging from $15 - $19 NZD per adult child $5 - $7 NZD Inside you have a multiple story setup, well lit, very informative with audio and information, different era areas, medals, weapons vehicles plus so much more, NZ Defence history right here!
