This is good place to ride bike for kids. Not recommend for scooter, wheels too small. With lake view and forest view. The total of the length around lake is about 8km. Takes us about 1hour to finish with kids bike riding. Time depends. There is 3 playgrounds you will find. Also some BBQ table.
This whole walk around Narrabeen Lagoon of 8.4KM is pretty amazing, all weather walk and if you are starting from Berry reserve it has quite a lot of eating joints to so definitely recommend doing that. Otherwise there are 5 more entry points and all are good, Parking gets pretty full at most of the entry points on weekends, so get there early or take a bus which drops right outside Berry reserve for you to then start the walk. You can walk around and us also one of the better places to cycle around as well. Not crowded on the walks but some of rest points may get crowded so keep a lookout. Definitely recommend doing this.
Love this lagoon. Great fishing spots, bike & hike trails all the way around. BBQ & picnic areas, camping spots, dog friendly, markets, restaurants, kids parks, sports ovals & good swimming. If it's busy or loud, there's private "little beaches" & "mini islands" to get away.
A park with a lot of activities. Walking tracks and a great walk around the lagoon. An easy flat 8km walk with a lot of nature to see. Nice to cycle around too. A lot of water birds to see around the lagoon and on the water. A lot of parking around the lagoon and some free if you get there early or get lucky. Very nice to visit.
Close to Narrabeen Beach, this circular walk has several starting points to choose from and there are several car parking spots at each entry location. There are boardwalks and it is flat, so an easy walk. If you go the whole way around it’s about 8.5km. Not sure about the war association with this place but there are numerous information, educational plaques about Australia’s war history around the lake. What we saw: lots of very fat ducks, about six restaurants and cafes, lovely scenery, some very posh houses, people kayaking there is a hire place and trying to kite/ wind surf, lots of walkers and kids on bikes, someone taking their cat on a walk in some kind of pet carrier. Recommended!
Such a beautiful lagoon! There are many kinds of water birds to enjoy the environment together with the locals! It’s easy to enjoy hiking, kayaking, paddling over there, or just sit down and do nothing is also a good choice!
A park suitable for cycling and boating. Ideal place for family weekend holidays. The park provides amusement facilities for children, and the parking fee is a bit expensive, but I understand that this is the maintenance cost of the park.
One of Sydney's best kept secrets. The walk around Narrabeen Lagoon is around 8 km in length and takes 2 - 3 hours depending on your walking speed. Or you can bike it hire a bike from North Narrabeen Cycles. Relaxing and beautiful, blank swans and much other wildlife can be seen as you slowly walk along the well made path around the lagoon. Catch a B Line bus from Wynyard to get to Narrabeen in around 45 minutes.
Daily walks with my dog, the lake is different every day. A little piece of paradise.
Well worth a walk/cycle around this pretty lagoon on excellent paths. We like to stop at the Boat Shed Cafe for a Pure Pops ice block to cool down
