Was once the best local Indian food. Quality has dropped dramatically and prices have inflated. No longer offer rice with dishes over $21 and the garlic cheese naan looked and tasted like a thin bit of wet bread. Sucks to see another local restaurant get greedy and drop the ball. Will be driving the extra 10 minutes to get a decent feed for a weekly curry night.
We were craving for some best desi food and found this little gem in Eatons Hill. If you are vegetarian, try their Dhal Fry ask them to give it tarka with green chilli....... Believe me you would lick your fingers after that, it super yummy. There plain naan is super fresh, it is proper naan made in tandoor. Thank you so much bhaa jee, for making complimentary chaye for us. We will definitely come again for your delicious food.
Our family thoroughly enjoyed a night at Namastase. The chicken korma was excellent. It was fresh and fragrant with just the right amount of kick. Lamb sag jost - tick Butter chicken disappeared in a very short time. Service with a smile made it a very pleasant visit. So good to see a local business doing a great job.
I love a good Indian meal but Namaste has to be the Worsed Indian meal I have ever had, the rice was like eating a rice pudding, the nan bread was thin like a crisp, probably cook a day before then reheated and finally I asked for my chickhen tekka masala to be spicy yet it was not, had no taste with very thick source with large chunks of chicken. If I didn't live so far away I would have taken it back. Complete waste of money. Definitely won't be go back there.
We’ve been here twice now, the first time we made the mistake of ordering the least spicy option and 10/10 encourage adding the spice super super yummy! Heaps of chicken in our pack and food was very hot when we got it and lovely serviceThanku so much guys
The food is wonderful. Staff were friendly and helpful. Our dinner was delicious . Flavours to die for. Thanks for a delightful night.Food: 5/5
We moved to the area a short while ago and just started eating at Namaste India and WOW their butter chicken is so yum and always consistent with the spice and flavour. We also love the garlic naans cooked perfectly - we will be trying some new dishes soon! We're always given wonderful customer service as well - great job!!
Not sure what has happened. Have relied upon Namaste for our Indian takeaway for some years. Our loyalty was based upon amazing food. Our most recent dinner purchases have been very disappointing. We are now going to purchase Indian food elsewhere.
Edit: I accidentally bought from here again today.... No change. Quality is awful. Naan is swimming in oil at the bottom of a bag. Serve size is small. For $25 you would expect a decent normal serve... Nope.... Small circle container. Taste was not great, rice was honestly awful. Won't return. I'm pretty certain they are taking the piss or having a bad day, did you guys microwave cold rice in its plastic container? Vegetable samosa: over fried and dry Basmati rice: microwaved??? Dry Lamb Rogan: tasteless and bland Naan: flat and oily Coconut rice: good Vegetable curry: tastes way too sweet
Not authentic at all! We usually make a trip to Top In Town Indian on the southside over an hour round trip but decided to try and see if there was somewhere just as good on the Northside. This is not it. The curry here is from a jar or packet and not made from scratch. It's like sweet grainy soup, the "meat" is in cubes, the naan bread was like doughy burrito wrap and the rice was basic stuff from Coles - not proper long grain saffron rice. It arrived very hot which is great but took 75 mins and I had to call to see where it was. 3 curries costing $78 when we usually pay $58 at our regular place for proper authentic curry. I couldn't eat this. Really gross and disappointing. If you're looking for authentic curry made from scratch you won't find it here. We'll make the hour+ trip back to our regular place on the southside
