I ordered online from these guys because they had the best prices and available stock. First time I ordered and paid for express shipping I got no updates for a full week. I called and they let me know that they unfortunately had no stock. I paid to apply for a refund. I gave them then the benefit of the doubt and tried a differnt product with them. Same deal, product available, took my payment along with express shipping. A few days later, nothing. So, I called again. The reply, yes we are sorry we don't have that in stock. The guy was polite and helpful enough but he did point out that the online store has no way of tracking availability or stock levels. So it's a complete roll of the dice if they have your order or not. I personally find this very, very frustrating and will not use them again.
I can see a lot of frustration in other reviews about online and delivery. I can’t speak to that because I prefer to visit the store in person. I see Joe with the Mo who is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the visual medium. My purchase can take up to an hour and I learn a lot in that time and better understand the best use for the camera/lense/accessory that I purchase. My buy price in store is always better than other places online. I normally can’t stand other humans so I would normally prefer to order online and not have any contact but I recommend you go and talk with them and the effort will be rewarded.
DO NOT ORDER ONLINE. Go in-store or call one of the physical store to check stock before ordering. Ordered a Lens online that was listed as In-Stock, with express shipping. Was invoiced and money taken from my account the same day. A days later I got a security check email, informing me that they would be taking a small amount out my account, then refund it and I needed to reply with the amount. They then proceeded to not to take the small amount out, I waited 2 days and called to get them to process it. After they proceed it I responded on the same day. I then waited another 2 days and no response again. I tried multiple times to call their online store phone number, but wasn't able to get through to anyone. I then proceeded to call their Brisbane shop and was informed that there was indeed no stock of the lens in any of their stores or warehouses. The person in store was very helpful and is assisting with a refund. Online store is not accurate and not repsonsive, would not order online again.
Friendly staff to deal with, both on the phone and in person. Knowledgeable and helpful, happy to answer questions about the products and offer advice. Really well priced. I found them online when looking for a camera, went in store to pick it up and have since made further purchases online from them. My experiences have been great! Fast dispatch and good communication tracking the orders.
Hi , about 6 months ago I needed some help sorting out some photos . They were personal and there were screen shots . Jesse was really helpful . While the others seemed a bit lost . He just got the job done quickly and professionally. Today I came in with Similar needs the fellow at the desk said we don’t do that .. then I said I had some great service on a prior occasion, so when he checked sure enough out comes Jesse . He is currently sorting it all out and said it would take about 10 minutes! I’m so impressed . That’s why I always support the business as I will today buying frames and other photo related things . If I were to buy a major piece of photography equipment. I would come here purely because of Jesse no hassle and humble service . I live 2 hours away from the city and came to the city for his service . Cheers mate! You need a pay rise
Pretty good, they are really efficient at price matching things! Great deals also. I bought a V90 card and the assistant helped me find a price match for 10% off!
Store was nicely laid out. The staff member who assisted me was nice but I felt it odd that they cursed a lot. It would be fine if we talked a bit more prior but out the gate was odd to me. The staff member was pleasant so don’t mistake my comment. Just and FYI if the wrong person takes it differently. I will return even though I work at competitive camera store.
I’ve been to DigiDirect twice now and the service and expertise is unmatched. The second time I’ve been to DigiDirect I had the pleasure of having Joe help me. I know nothing about picture quality and prints but was looking at options for a gift. Joe was very patient with me and explained what would work best for my situation and after coming to an agreement Joe then proceeded to print off my picture and even fit it in a frame for me. The whole experience was easy and efficient and I’ll definitely be back again. Thank you Joe and the team at DigiDirect.
Update: the lady from the Philippines call centre said all staff in the Australian office are too busy to take my call today, and she is not trained on how to handle order information. DigiDirect has products on their website that they don't have in stock. Online Webchat and 1300 Phone Number and monitored by overseas agents/call centres who don't have access to order information. It means you must chase them to get your money back for the goods you purchased that they don't have. It could be better. I won't purchase from digiDirect again, and any discount they offer for not having actual Australian-based support is not worth it.
Super quick turn around on film development! Took 2 days 48 hours and would’ve been quicker, it’s only as the developer had a day off inbetween us handing the rolls in. 5 rolls for $95.65 Not bad, that’s the negatives back if you want them and digital scanning and emailing, in really good quality!
