I was told over the phone I could get a 18+ CARD but when I went over I found a very rude Asain women who was curt unhelpful and downright patronising. Also she acted like I wasnt Australia due to my cap when my accent is a dead giveaway

I Can understand the distance from where it is, going there and getting served was simple and straight forward,
Every time I call it is a minimum of 40 minutes before somebody picks up the phone. I have now waited for over a month for a license reprint.
The staff is too much slow. I have to wait more than an hour and there is only 5 people before me in queue. I would appreciate it staff is showing more energy while working. This not only happens only once. Overall poor service.

My experience with the MVR staff was great. Their process is streamlined and you get your things done straight away. I got my Proof of Age card within 30mins. No need to wait for a couple of weeks for the card to arrive via post. I got it straight away. Same thing with my driving licence. After clearing the road test, I got my driving licence straight away in hand. Fastest and most efficient service.
Called MVR, was told personalised plates are ready so i go to the MVR. After being served, i was told they're not ready, probably still in darwin and will be another 2-3 weeks. Told the old cow with colourful hair and glasses that i called and was told they're ready and she just repeated what she said before. Called MVR again, 30 minutes later, was told, again, the plates are ready. return to MVR, served by a younger lady, personalised plates were AMAZINGLY found, and everything was sorted. NO APOLOGY, NO EXPLANATION NOTHING. How the hell this place has 3.6 stars is beyond human understanding
Why is there only one person running the front desk and inquiries??? And doing regos??? Its a taxpayer department get your act together. Its ok to muck us people around who pay taxes and waste our time. Get real.
