Story

Muum Maam Barangaroo was established in 2016 as part of Sydney’s biggest food hub near the iconic harbour, at Barangaroo South. Right in the centre of Sydney’s thriving culinary scene, we bring authentic Thai cuisine to Sydneysiders with everything made form scratch. We continue the same concept as our sister Bistro, Muum Maam Surry Hills, with quick Thai street style food during the day, and signature dishes such as Massaman Veal Ossobuco served in the evenings. We also create exciting new dishes available only at Barangaroo store so you’ll find something different at Muum Maam Barangaroo.

I have dined here a few times, but the experience tonight was wonderful. We had the tasting menu and the food was quite exceptional! The bay bug betel leaf was so tasty as a starter; the chicken skewers were good too. For mains we had four dishes: Crispy pork belly, deep fried fish, yellow curry chicken and Australian king prawns plus jasmine rice. The fish was definitely my favorite, the rest were really delicious too. Every dish was bursting with flavors. The coconut ice cream for dessert was really nice too!
I came here with my friends and this restaurant had some delicious food! Even though we were sitting outdoors the heaters were just perfect to maintain a warm environment. The service was so kind and helpful as well : We had such a pleasant experience and we cannot wait to be back here again.
We loved this place ! We visited on Easter Saturday and place was packed with people. We were served fairly quickly considering how busy it was . All dishes were delicious from starters to desert and affogato. It seems that people in other reviews don’t take in consideration that restaurants these days operate with less staff members than usually. We can’t complain about anything because it was obvious that all staff members are working like busy bees
Amazing food! Service was a little ok - but in times like this they were pretty good considering they only had 2 people serving. The salt and pepper calamari was one of THE best I've ever had. There was so much flavour. The tofu and eggplant was really good. The massaman beef curry and green curry were pretty alright. Would definitely recommend this place!
Lovely experience and busy on the weekend! We got the $85 set menu and still weren’t fully full so got a pad Thai on top. Our group of 4 was 3 girls and 1 guy and normal set menus do fill us up. Food is good Thai, very flavourful and moreish. Cocktails also really tasty!
One of my favourite Thai places in Sydney. Great atmosphere, tasty food and amazing location. Ordered the Steamed Scollop & Prawn dumplings which I wish had a little more filling. The Salt & Pepper Calamari, The Prawn Fried rice which I wish was a little less dry and the pad Thai which was a little too “wet” in my opinion. My favourite was definitely the desert called “Monkey Balls” which was amazing!
Great NYE package. 3 course set menu of delicious Thai food plus tickets to Barangaroo Reserve for fireworks. Meal really enjoyable. Authentic flavours. Service friendly and prompt. Happily seated us before our reservation time. Will be back.
I'm not a fan of Thai food but this was amazing!!! The service was great, everything came very quickly. The food was on point, super flavourful and not as spicy as I imagined. They have great space outside with beautiful view to the bay and the selection of cocktails is amazing! We chose the set menu and it was enough food to feed everyone. Dietary restrictions: They do ask you before serving, which is great!
Enjoyed the $85 set menu for lunch, food came at the right time and all dishes were fantastic. The pork belly is a standout! My partner also has the Melbourne cup set menu, she loved it!
Best Thai food in the town I would say. Good options for vegetarians. I appreciate that they know about their dishes and there preparations which makes a lot easier for us to decide on to what to eat. Highly recommend, don’t forget to try the cocktails.
