Great museum. Gold vault stories and artefacts were fascinating. From the top deck of the mining derrick (accessed via elevator) you could see most of Kalgoorlie and Boulder. The old pub and other buildings provided a picture of what things were like on the goldfields a hundred years ago. The visiting Aboriginal art display from Northern Territory was excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful.

There's a diverse range of artifacts and goldfields history contained that will tickle the curious mind. Be sure to give yourselves at least 2 hours to indulge in this town's rich past. The staff are eager to assist and there's also a souvenir shop so you can take a piece of Kalgoorlie with you.

Enjoyed our visit. Well laid out history of the region and interesting pictures. Gold exhibit well done but the highlight was the view from the top of the mine headframe across the town. Historical buildings and rooms also very well set up and informative. A couple of hours well spent.

A great museum with fantastic staff. I recommend visiting the vault on a guided tour very informative. Some amazing artifacts and displays giving the viewer a real sense of the harsh environment these men endured during the early years.
