Small but wonderful Museum and gallery. Easy to navigate and the Cyclone Tracy exhibition is a must. Lots of beautiful Aboriginal art on display. This is also the perfect place to escape the Darwin heat in the middle of the day.
Good museum with lots of Darwin and the NT history on show. Plenty of parking and free entry. Worth a look.
Interesting hodgepodge of science, art and history. It's a rabbit warren of ramps and hallways filled with butterflies, boats, paintings and just about anything Aussie. Worth a look, especially as it's free of charge.
Pretty nostalgic going after so many years. A bit disappointing in that it seemed so much bigger when i was younger, and there seemed to be more to do and see. I suppose the maintenance they were doing today didn't help but still enjoyed it.
Loved every minute l spent looking at so many different exhibits, cyclone Tracy to Sweetheart and all the paintings from local indigenous painters.
Small but cheerful. Great exhibitions on Cyclone Tracy, and the industrialisation of NT. Others available too, including Sweetheart the crocodile and NATSIAA indigenous art award participants. Cafe no longer operating due to COVID.
Well done museum. Natural history section colourful and interesting, Tracy display engaging, interesting boatshed. The art gallery was a bit lacking. Few exhibits, pieces not very innovative or accessible and the alarms are badly calibrated and go off too easily.
Congratulations NT on providing such a compact well-presented museum. Well worth visiting when you're next in Darwin.
