We stopped in here to eat dinner on our way whilst on a road trip. Lots of great things for the kids to do and tables to eat at. We did see the monorail as we were leaving but not sure if it was working. We were there at around 7:30pm and the toilets were locked which was a shame but otherwise well lit up facilities :
A fantastic place to spend the afternoon. What an awesome skate Park! We Loved the old school pool ! The variety of ramps rails and obstacles for all levels and styles what ever your ride . The kids play ground was fun under the Shade of the tree's . Barbecue facilities and loads of grass for the perfect family picnic.
Nelson reserve is a family friendly playground with several undercover gazebos. Two in particular have 3-4 tables and one gazebo even has a few BBQs amongst the tables as well. Perfect to host a party or function. The playground is on the older side but still plenty of fun for kids. Toilets are nearby and are functional.
Good park, needs public toilets but there are some across the road. Good place for a picnic. Has tables and chairs. Has kids play equipment too
This is a great open air location to let the kids run around with a playground and small old skate park. A newer multipurpose skate park and toilets have now been added as well.
Great little park, we stopped on our way through town to give the kids a breather and stretch their legs. Tables were very messy and flithy with food scrapes, but that may have been birds picking it out of the bin etc. Playground: Big playground, multiple areas with a variety of items to play on. The kids loved it. Restrooms: Dirty and the two little basins out in the open didn't work very well and made me feel uncomfortable. Dog-friendliness: I have no idea if this is a dog friendly park, I had my dog in the car travelling with me, so I took him out for a stretch, too. There were no "no dog" signs, so assume it was ok. No poop bags anywhere that I could see for cleaning up.
Nice place for the kids to run around has the most amazing large skate park. So if your kids are into that I'd give it 5 starts lots of free BBQs and seating areas.
Awesome little park for all kids of ages big and small to enjoy
Great park. Stopped for a break. Was clean and lots of parking.
Great playground but wish that it had more shade sails, sun is brutal for alot of the day
