Affordable, authentic food that is served with the same home feeling you get eating at your mum’s place literally!nnCame on a Monday 1:30pm and seemingly have avoided the crowd completely. A humble but clean place with Korean music playing in the background. We ordered the spicy octopus and spicy ribs which both came in about 10 minutes after ordering.nnThere’s nothing fancy about these meals, and they don’t pretend to be. It’s just good home cooking to a T and showcasing what it’s like to be eating at a Korean canteen/house. There’s no overly salty/MSG taste but each bite is perfectly seasoned and all the proteins were perfectly cooked.nnI really can’t fault the food at all. Come here for a no-frill comfort lunch of Korean food, but perhaps give it a miss if you yarn for something a bit more fancy.
Amazing Korean home cooking.. the store is small and cosy, the food was hot and delicious and the ladies are nice and friendly.nIt only opens on weekdays till 3pm and it’s kind of a long drive for us but it’s a school holiday must. We already visited the shop 3-4 times.
Food taste is on point and I really admire on their banchan variety on every dishes that we ordered.nnSo this time we ordered the following :n- pork bone soup packn- beef bulgogi packn- spicy beef soup packn- japchaennThe spicy pork bone soup dish is quite good, however I thought the pork bone will have some meat on it but seems they literally serve pork bone with little to no meat in it in the soup.nnBeef bulgogi is quite tasty and serving is decent. Spicy beef soup also not bad.nnJapchae is quite standard.nnHowever let me reiterate again I really love how generous they serve the banchan with each dish except the japchaennPricing might be on the high side and the million dollar question would I come again?nnWell this one is tricky, I would probly say only if I'm in the area and there's no other nearby Korean joint open.nnService is very good and friendly but it can get quite busy during lunch time and wait time could be quite long so arrive early if you can.
Mums Lunch Korean Food is a fantastic establishment, seemingly run by mothers, which reflects in the comforting home-style meals they serve. Highly recommended for those seeking soul-soothing dishes. While some spicier options can lean towards the hotter side, they still offer excellent flavor.
Not what I expected. I’ve had so many Korean food that 8 out of 10 always left me with excessive thirst due to the MSG. But I have to give Mum’s Lunch a five star because not only the food is tasty, it doesn’t come with the after effects thirst due to MSG.nnThe food looks simple and maybe too plain or boring for Insta fan but you’ll be fool not to give it a try as the food is packed with flavours and I have to say very natural flavours. The set menu comes with 3 side dishes. We ordered 3 different sets and we were amazed that all the side dishes were not the same. That’s was a bonus as we get to try out so many side dishes.nnThe downside is that this restaurant is not very spacious as it’s located at the industrial area so getting there early will be ideal to avoid waiting for a table. It’s hard to get a parking as it’s an industrial area too so best to park on Cochranes Road.
